I am so incredibly pissed at the valet at my club right now.
We have to valet while working. Pretty standard, right? Well, at the end of the night, the valet pulls the cars up to the front entrance. Since I wasn't able to drive, I went ahead and tipped him the standard $5 - he moved my car to the back lot and gave me back my keys.
The bartender took my home (she lives right around the corner from me) and then brought me back to work this evening around 7.
Went over to the car (in the same place that I saw the valet park it) and pulled out. Heard a horrible grinding noise while pulling it out. After moving about three feet out of the parking space, I stopped and got out.
The fucker had curbed my car and the whole front bumper, (except the place on the right side where I had a broken clip) ripped off!!!I pulled back into the parking space and pushed the bumper back in and he came running over. Asked me if it was damaged before. I said no. He pushed the bumper up, but it had broken the left side clip. He said sorry, shrugged, and ran off to go park someone's car. I had to tape it on to go home.
Well, when I got home, I popped the hood open. I had had a nasty feeling driving home because the car had added resistance while accelerating and I was thinking about the fact that I had had to push the whole grill back into place.
There is something plastic hanging from the bottom right side of the bumper as well as a cord that goes to *something* dangling right beside it. ALL of the clips that hold the front of the grill and bumper cover on are broken.
I went in to talk to my manager. He talked to the valet (who, of course, denied everything)and the end result is that I no longer have to valet my car. However, I do have to pay what I am sure will be a VERY large repair bill within a very short amount of time.
