LOL, yup. And then a few months after the inauguration in 2009, when McCain is snug and settled in the White House, they demand that money back.

The whole tax thing is a bad joke. Either borrow in our name, or take it back from us later. In either case the only thing that should placate us is Spending less of our money and providing fewer giveaways.

Instead the polticians found that they could bribe us for continuing their jobs by using different tricks to get us to believe that their actions are costing us less money. 'Giveaways' get votes.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Mmmm right around election time, too. Just close enough to remember who gave it to you but far enough they can pretend that's not why they did it.

Holy crap, srsly though, when I read the e-mail about tax rebates I thought the e-mail was a joke. Like HAHAHA AMERICA TAX REBATES HAHAHA HOW FUNNY... and then it was real.

    And funnier.

so, I had a real job for a few months, if I file, I'd just file that... would I get that 600$ then?

I'd also probably get a little back from having such a small income.

    hypothetically, of course

I'm supposed to file my Australian taxes in America and say.... oh... I claim a little bit... can I stuff it to Dubya too?!

(Thanks for the brain seed, Lola!)

The real pisser is how rapidly the rebate is "reduced" if your income is above certain AGI levels. Above $75K for singles and $150K for MFJs, the rebate is reduced by 5% for every $1K above those levels.

Yep. They sure got their money back after the last election bribe...oh..I mean.."tax rebate" 4 years ago.

It's lovely and I'll use the money..but it certainly doesnt make up for the loss of income everyone has suffered through the recession created by the administration.
