Default Am I the only one that finds Aculight Hurts ?

I am having aculight hair removal at the moment and am wondering if anyone else finds it painful ?

It's supposed to be really amazing and the results so far are great but it feels like someones putting out ciggarettes on me !
It literally makes me jump, and the woman who does it says it's unusual to feel any pain
I had no problems having brazilian waxes no pain at all, but the laser is another story.
I also have my lip injections done with no pain relief so I figure my pain threshold isn't really low.

I wonder if taking painkillers before would help ?

My laser clinic suggested that if you are pain sensitive, then maybe an ibuprofen or a glass of wine before your appointment would help.

But whatever you do, do NOT take Tylenol AND wine at the same time!

    CityChick,

Are you tanning at all? That makes the skin more sensitive. See about getting a prescription for a topical numbing agent. It'll need to be applied 30 minutes before your appointment. Goodluck!

I took 3 Ibuprofen before hand and the lady who did the treatment this time was super sweet. She used more ice to freeze the area, and that seemed to help a little.

She explained to me that she has one other clinet who is super sensitive and jumps evertime she pushes the button. That made me feel a little better.

Also the fact is that the treatment is already working so I'm going to persevere.

Thanks for your help girls xxxx
