    Default Trying Option "C"

So I posted a whole thread on the best straightening irons etc. etc. etc... and found that some really likes CHI but others have had issues with their durability. GHD was the most recommended brand. EVER. LOL.

I went to the mall and found several options.

CHI: $105 (great price, actually, from what I've seen)
GHD: $200 (expensive, but supposedly worth it)
Sharper Image: Going out of business, with hair products 20% off of already reasonable-sounding prices, straightener's sale price was $47.96 and a combo hair dryer-straightener sale-priced at $55.96 for those times my hair is wet.

I went with option D, spending total $110.16 with tax. These items are non-returnable because they are clearance, but the price was about the same and I got two products.

The iron has ionic properties as well as 5 different heat settings. The plates are 100% ceramic. They recommended the 2" plates because my hair is so long.

And I now officially own a hair dryer!! Never thought I would.. they usually just cause me serious afro hair.

The way I see it, if these products don't work so well/break/whatever, they were a great deal. And I'll go back and spend the $200 on the GHD. Heck, I'm a STRIPPER for heaven's sake. $100 shouldn't cause me that much worry... lol.

P.S. Sephora doesn't have a lifetime warranty of the straighters, I did ask.

sounds like you got a bargain! i own a hair dryer but only use it in emergency (when i don' have time to wait for it to dry) but even though i hardly use it i couldn't imagine not owning one. good luck with your silky, straight hair!
