    Default Arthritis and Alt Medicine

So, I have arthritis in my knees. It's been like this for about three, maybe four years now and only recently have I decided to do something about it. (The doctors were like "Dher...it says here you have arthritis but you're in your early twenties, can't be so dherrr...") I've started taking glucosamine/condroitin tablets (a word for you vegans out there: both glucosamine and condroitin sulfate are not vegan, or vegetarian for that matter. ) and it helps, but I suck at remembering to take pills (which is why I do not take The Pill.). I can go several days without the pills and I hobble round like an old lady.

Is there anything else I can do? I've heard Yoga is good for that. Anything else?

Im forgetting everything Ive read right now.
For some people veganism verses health can be an issue unfortunatly.
Have you tried making other dietry changes? For instance, my mum has arthritis symptons when she has wheat and none when she doesnt.

I've tried knocking out wheat. Didn't help. I tried knocking out various other foods known to cause problems, and it didn't come to anything.

And It's osteoarthritis, diagnosed and all.

I live in California and have a doctors recommendation for medical marijuana for when my arthritis/back/neck pain are acting up. I'm pretty sure thats vegan.

    Straight from Peru's medicine men:
5 pounds ginger, 5 pounds limes, cover it all in honey, put in a gallon pot. Just chop pu the ginger and limes leaving skin and rind.
Cook it all down to the thickest syrup you can. Then let cool to room temp strain the fluid. If you want save the paste, you can eat it on toast or actually rub it on your knee. I have some articles on ginger and osteoarthritis. Then leave the paste in the fridge for about 9 days. After it's cooled for that time take the syrup for 9 days 3 times daily in a 2 oz shot glass. In peru they burry it in the ground where it's cool same difference. Just most people don't have electricity or fridge.
Ginger is supposed to reduce swelling and prostaglandins the hormone that causes pain. My aunt had terrible osteoarthritis, did this treatment. When she returned to the doctors the blood tests they do for arthritis came back negative. I am not saying it's a cure, but it could help a lot! Here are some links, article and studies of gingers effects:

the next article has ginger plus several other herbs that were studied:
