Default Making a grand in Austin?

I'm so frustrated. I've been trying to make a grand in a night since I first joined this forum. It's starting to feel more and more like it's been since I was in the womb. I was super motivated about work last night and gave myself a pep talk and said "tonight is the night". I had an awesome attitude and was really friendly and worked hard. I made $80 immediately after I got off stage around 7:00PM. I only ended up making $430 last night.

I didn't sit and waste time and I can't figure out why I didn't make more? I'm very grateful for the money I did make last night, but I was still super disappointed when I left last night and didnt make my goal. In all fairness, nobody really did well last night and it was kind of a weird night. Will I ever reach my goal? Help?

I started a thread a while back about that. My club has no VIP or any other pricing structure besides the $20 lapdances, so it does take some creativity to hit it. And the advice I have is what you probably already know - to get that one customer to make your night, always sell dances in multiples and make your own pricing structure to maximize earnings ($250 for a half hour or something). Anyway, those are the only things that work in my club. Good luck! Oh ya, and it's good luck to start a thread about it sort of like writing your goals down...

But I know what you mean about being surprised you didn't make more, I hate those nights where I have literally been getting dances all night, like never a down moment. I'll go pee and maybe stop to drink my water, but that's it, and then I get home and I'm like $400?? I mean, it's good money, but it feels like it should be more - I am sure those nights are the ones where customers only buy 1 or 2 dances at a time, and I think I don't realize how much time I am taking if I talk for a song before the dance and then for a song after while I get dressed, etc.

Anyway, I'm rambling, but this is something I'm working on: keeping it short and sweet when it's busy.

We don't have the VIP thing either, there is a VIP area but theres no pricing structure to it. Guys there generally want to talk and hang out more due to it being much more quiet back there. I think that setting up my own pricing structure would be very beneficial, as I assume guys in VIP will spend more so I find myself accidentally spending too much time talking.

I would have to do 50 dances to to make $1000 which doesn't seem too far fetched so next time I work I will just aim for the 50 dances and if I get somebody from VIP I will test out the pricing structure idea. I really appreciate your advice and good luck vibes, I'm sending some right back to you!

For the girls that I work with, or even any Austin girls, what kind of pricing structure would you set up for the VIP area? Should I go with the $250 for half hour? Do you think I could get that?

I'm sorry I wasn't there last night! I had a sore throat that isn't strep, but I'll be dammed if it didn't feel like it. Hopefully I'll be there this upcoming weekend!

I'm REALLY gonna try to make a G every Saturday this April, so maybe we can help each other out?

Do you ask for tips at the end of your dance/s? Even if they say "oh I don't have any money." but I saw some ones in there, I'll call them on it. Every last dollar counts. I think I've only had one person say "no" and he was trying to get me to come home with him for 40 bucks...so that was kindda expected.

If a group of guys is really interested in me I drag them to the couch area and get as much as I can and tell him that he better tell them how hot it was back there. And I'll just keep pulling them back. It's mysterious or something that I refuse to do the dances at the table, so they all want to know what is going on back there especailly if I pull a friend or two back there for 4-5 songs...

Other then that, if I get grabbed to go back to the VIP, I'll be really vague about whether I'll go home with them. Usually they'll try to bribe me and throw in extra 20's to seem worth it. I'll also sit for two songs and do three songs. Never sitting for more than 2 MAYBE 3 songs. Never stopping at less than 3 dances in a row.

When I made a grand all those things aligned perfectly. That and the guy who thought he had had to pay me 100$ every 3 songs. Even without him though I think I would have broken a G.

Oh also when I'm really busy I'll tell the guys coming up to my stage that and tell them that if they want a dance from me to come tip me at whatever my last stage set is gonna be at. I dunno about you, but I forget peoples faces and I don't like searching for people so I tell them to come to me. Usually if a guy really wants me they'll even wait for me to finish with the guy who happened to get to my last stage first if I tell them it'll be a few songs.

I also count my money throughout the night. Exchange it for hundreds and go out there again. The little money wad makes me want to fill it back up again. And seeing 6 100's at 12pm is like "whaa, yay good night, keep going!" Every time I put another 20 in there.

I don't know if any of that helped but thats the break down of my 1k+ night.

    Feel free to PM me

I haven't been able to pull off a pricing structure. I know lizlizliz has before with an out-of-towner/s, I think. So maybe you could PM her.

I've tried 200$/30min which is just 20$ for every 3 min, a few times and it didn't work. Maybe 160$/30 min. Meh seems too low, to me. But if you think about it logically, it would only be losing out for 2 dances, assuming you could dance every song straight jumping around on the floor for 30 min. Most likely you have to at least wait till a new song starts when you are gonna first start dancing for someone. 2 songs wasted can pass by pretty fast.

hmm...maybe that could work, something about it feels like I'll selling myself short though...I'm gonna think about it for a little while.

I would recommend $150 for 30 minutes, and I "time" it off at about 26-27 minutes. There is no clock, so how would you tell. The $200-250 range isn't a good value in Austin. Most guys won't buy it. Try that during the week on an out of towner, or a custy that becomes super-enamored with you. You know what I'm talking about.

The only way I broke a grand in Austin was by working really long hours. I'd be on the floor by 7, and stay until 4. Its exhausting, so don't drink too much, and keep yourself well-hydrated. Its possible, but its more than likely going to happen when you have a couple of decent whales throughout the night, littered with groups of guys willing to pass you around.

That's another tip from me; work the groups of guys. Since they are sitting next to one another, you don't have to wait a song between dances, just jump from lap to lap to lap. That will maximize your sale rate. Amongst the group, if you jump into a lap and get ANY resistance, or he tries to grab you, immediately move to the next lap. He will look like an asshole, and you won't have to deal with it.

Dealing with grabby assholes is a sure way to kill momentum. Not that any of my info is new to you, but I know how I used to get when I really wanted to hit my goals. I'd put up with some douchebag, but then by mentally drained after him, and would have to take a longer break to re-group.

Sometimes though, no matter what, there just isn't enough money in the club to break a grand. Best of luck in your future endeavours.

If you're consistently doing 16 dances an hour, $320/hr $160/half might be selling yourself short, but honestly I found the average song count in Austin to be between 14-16 songs an hour total. You may feel like it's too cheap, hearing on here about 3/100s and $500/hr VIPs, but don't forget that in clubs with a strict pricing schedule, some of that money is going to the club or a VIP host, so that in the end a dancer doing a $400/hr room might keep $300-$350 of that.

So, ask for the $250 or $200, but if you "discount" it to less you are still coming out ahead with a guaranteed chunk of change.

I mean, if I can sell VIP in no-touch Portland, and holiday can sell hours with no VIP and no-touch, there's no reason you can't sell blocks of dances in Austin where the guys get better dances for the same price. Just experiment with your targets (out-of-towners) and pricing (something that's well worth your time and sounds good to the customer).

Susan you're exactly right. It seems like a low price to me because I see girls getting so much more on SW. I didn't even think about the club cut though, very good point.

150 for 30 mins doesn't sound like much at all. I bet out of towners especially would do that...I'll try it this weekend for sure.

How about $150, plus an extra $20 for the "VIP Host" to turn his head away. Then, just go up to Ron, or whoever is hanging out back there, whisper something silly in his ear, and give him $1. Pocket the $20. Custy will think that Ron is being paid off to look the other way, when in fact, no one ever pays attention. Who else hangs out back there? Wilbur? The other guy, latino, what's his name? They don't care about anything that goes on....

Try $10 dances $250/hour in Phoenix. I break a grand several times a month.

Actually every time I'm back there James or someone asks if the guy has paid, unless its a VIP regular of coarse. Thats a good idea too though, I'll think about it more when I'm not drunk

Aha, James, that's who I'm thinking of! Work that shit. I used to have a deal with an old host up there who monitored the CR. Forget his name, he was blond with a ponytail, before your time. Try to get James involved, I totally bet he'd be willing to help out in exchange for a taste. Then you CAN try the $250/half hour.

Alas, I doubt I'll be able to make it down to Austin anytime in the near future.

Thanks for all the input, I really think it's doable. Joplin, I think it would also help to keep each other motivated so lets try out the grand on Saturday nights during April I also think it would be nice to try out the $150 for 30 minutes thing.

I will occasionally work with other girls, and I'm not sure what your style is but I'm thinking if we can hustle the out of towners in the VIP together then maybe the $150 per half hour thing will be easier to pull off? Either way I plan on trying it this weekend as well!

If you're dealing with an out of towner, ALWAYS go for $200 for half an hour. That's a pretty standard price in most cities and many guys are used to paying that. Only offer $150 to locals as a "special deal".
