One more cup of coffee for the road,
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
To the valley below....
Slowly moseying my way to the exit.

That poor angel. Here is how they train these incredibly powerful animals to bend to the will of tiny humans:

Um, if you check this specific elephant, he was not only NOT trained that way but rescued from an abusive place to begin with.

this is truly horriblei want to see the people who do this tied up and tortured fucking assholes!!!
If that's true it's totally awesome, definitely! I just know that the elephants I saw doing tricks in Asia were not having fun. Abuse of wildlife--especially primates and elephants--is rampant in Thailand![]()
And what's with the "ums"? I keep seeing this and it comes off as so snarky.
It's quite amazing, yes, but even if trained in the most humane manner....I'm not a fan. It stinks of dancing bears and anthropomorphism.
Elephants are so cool, just, anyways. They don't need to do a paint-by-numbers to be amazing creatures.
Feature costumes for sale!
No way! That was so cool![]()

OMG. THat is Fing amazing!!! What a gorgeous picture! If I could have that picture in my house I would frame it. Elephants are REALLY neat animals!
It doesn't seem bad to me. In this case I'm just amazed to see a more throrough glimpse of what elephants are capable of. They're so deeply, profoundly awesome.
That was freakin' AWESOME!! That elephant paints WAY better then I ever could! And I would totally buy that...how freakin' cool to have a painting done by an elephant!!
Last time I was in Key West I met this guy from Ireland(desavirsire..this was the guy whos shirt I wore that night on the bet!) who races sailboats. When he isnt racing...he goes to India with a group to work with the elephants on some wildlife preserve they have out there. He said it was the most amazing thing he's ever done. The intelligence and emotion they showed(and they were wild...it was NOT a zoo..they had been rescued from people who apparently march them up and down the streets in India and abuse them to amuse people....grrrrr). He said he would be going as long as he could because every trip just filled him with such a respect and admiration for these creatures!!
I LOVE elephants. The SMARTEST land animal. Smarter than chimps.
They had something about artistic elephants on "60 Minutes" a few years ago. Their paintings are sold and support their care and feeding and help their wild brothers and sisters. Both African and Asian populations are in decline. Sniff.
^^^Does anybody know where you can buy elephant paintings? On the internet maybe? I would love to have one and I would love to support their cause.
