    New Club Jitters?

Hopefully I'm not the only person to experience this. But, everytime I work a new club, that first night I NEVER seem to make money. I'm uncomfortable, insecure about dancing, hustle techniques, etc. But come the second night and there after, I've found my mojo again...and I'm making money again.

Anyone else like this? How do you overcome the nervousness and immediately hit the floor running?

Me too, When ever I travel i kinda don't rely on the first night. I use that to get a feeling for the club and the clientelle.

I just go back the next day again and do it until my legs don't shake anymore lol. I also love to pic my fave songs to dance to so that I feel "at home". The feeling of my favorite songs beating bass into my feet eases me a bit.

I'm pretty much always like that too, with rare exceptions. I mean, I don't go home broke or anything, but I don't bank like crazy either on my first night anywhere. I wouldn't worry about it; let yourself have that night to scope everything out. Just be prepared in case some big money presents itself.

I tend to sit around and watch on my first day.

I'm just like everyone else. I don't get over it the first night. I just do my best to get a feel for my surroundings. Honestly it usually takes me a week or two to be comfortable somewhere new. I'm a creature of comfort and it's stressful for me to be out my "element"

I've been dancing for years (gah) and I'm always the same kind of freaked out when I start a new club. I just pick out a couple of outfits and write down a list of songs that really work for me to hand to the DJ. You've really just got to suck it up and jump in.

I pretty much use the first day at a new club to get a feel for the way things work there. It takes me a day or two to get the lay of the land, then things pick up significantly. It's rare for me to make major cash on a first day.

I hate starting at new clubs. I get the worst stage fright when I have to go on a new stage. I always feel like all the 'old girls' are just waiting for me to fuck up in lapdances too. All the different rules clubs have sometimes take me a few dances to get used to.

Usually after a few hours I get the flow of the club and start to make money, but it's not as much as I would normally make.

It always takes me a day to get used to a new place. The new girl feeling is always rough. I try to pick clubs where there are lots of girls working so as I just blend in.

I can't stand small clubs anymore. I feel many, not all, but many dancers at small clubs are more territorial than at bigger clubs.

I'm really bad when it comes to a new club. I shake super bad. I try to find a "safe" custy. I know I might not be able to pull tons o' cash from him. At least I'll have a "friend" to chat w/ if nothing is going on.

I'm with you all the way! No matter how many times I have started a new club and no matter where it is in the country.. yup. I allow myself to 'ease into it' and not worry about the first night's money...

So far it doesn't seem like most people hit the ground running right away....

I like to ease into a new club... Use the first night to feel things out.. By the time it's all done, I tend to feel comfy, though I wish I could, as cinnamonkisses said, hit the ground running on a first night!

Me too, which is why I don't work at many clubs, just the ones familiar to me lol. I know that might be cutting out better possibilities, but it's hard for me to walk around like I own the place when I'm brand new.

I'm the same way as all of the other posters here. I like to use that first night to get a feel for the club.
Also, I have been dancing for years but I still hate, hate, HATE auditioning because I always have to get used to the new stage so invariably, my first time on it will suck.

Thanks girls. It really helps knowing I'm not the only one. The suckiest thing that happened when trying out this club was the DJ announces on mic to everyone, "Alright guys! Up next we're doing an AMMMMMMMMMMMMMAUTER! This is cK's first time on stage at our club so lets make her feel good"

Geez, I felt like such a klutz
