I'd like to try birth control pills again, but I'm hesitant. My last experience with BCPs was Yasmin, and the stuff made me experience severe mood swings and tanked my sex drive (I even stopped masturbating - I had no interest whatsoever) I had lovely skin, though.
I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and then Alesse in my early twenties. I don't remember having any emotional side effects from them, but then again, at that age I was a generally moody and unhappy girl, so I'm not sure I would have noticed. Ortho made me puke a lot. With Alesse, there was no nausea but there was breakthrough bleeding. I had great skin on both.
Has anybody here tried Lybrel, the new continuous dose pill? Has anyone done poorly on a birth control pill, and well once they switched to another? I'f everyone is comfortable sharing, please do, because the pharmaceutical companies and many doctors insist that BCPs don't cause depression or weight gain. And I think we all know that they can and do.
