    Default Month of April Challenge

    Alright, I got hit by two flus in 4 weeks, so I've put on 7 lbs (I eat a LOT when I'm sick and don't exercise, so I gain weight when I'm sick.) My goal is to lose that for sure and THEN SOME. I'm gonna give myself a 12-15 lb weight loss in 1 month.

    What're your goals for the month? Let's encourage and keep track of it all here.

    I'm gonna do the pictures, measurements, and weigh-ins tomorrow morning.

    Count me in.

    I've been sick, still kindda am and I eat like crazy too. I've gained 6 lbs...yay.

    I just weighed myself and I'm at 136 lbs, 35-27-37. Id like to be a steady 129 by the end of the month and then go from there.

    I thought I was the only one who gained weight when I get sick! I also got the flu, and have gained weight. I want to lose 8 lbs. I"m too embarrassed to post pics of the way I look right now :-(

    I'm too embarrassed to post pics right now too.

    On a good note: I just did some squats, donkey kicks, crunches and some other stuff I don't know the names of with weights, and actually broke a sweat. Hey it's a start!

    my goals this month are:

    ride my excercise bike 20mins a day
    drink 8 gls of water a day (instead of wine lol)

    doesnt sound hard but im just plain lazy and love my wine

    I gain weight when I'm sick, too. I thought it was just me.

    March was a disaster for me health-wise, so I'm in! I'm actually only 8 pounds away from my goal weight right now, but there is much toning up that needs to be done. I'm inspired by the other thread that talked about running, so I'm going to run more... and blow the dust off my pilates tape, which helped shrink my waist before my wedding.
    Bikini season is coming up, although you wouldn't know it here- it keeps snowing.

    im glad to know that other people gain when sick too. i thought it was just me, becuase on tv, they always lose weight.

    I'm in! I've been losing weight pretty slowly, but my workouts are getting a lot more consistent. I'll post my stats tomorrow. I need to get more dedicated! I notice the more I run, the less cellulite I have. But my waist is harder to shrink. I'm thinking of sucking it up and getting a trainer.

    Count me in. I'm doing OK with the fitness and getting better with diet, but I need to kick it up a notch. Right now I weigh 140, by the end of April I'd like to be 134 (being realistic here). Then I'll work from there.

    I am just getting over the flu myself. No clue what I weigh, or my measurements. I think I look pretty slender although my belly is very soft, and I really need some sun. I can see my veins everywhere.

    For the end of April, I would like to have shed those last 4lb of fat, without compromising any muscle. Time to bring back the food log.....

    I'm in. I wanna lose 8lbs. Well, more actually, but 8 is gonna be my goal for the month. Hopefully this will keep me on track because nothing else is working.

    Fuck it! I'm in.

    Since I'm not dancing I've gained a little weight and loss some major strength in my legs. Sloooowly my diet has been getting back on track.....well only because the price of Ben and Jerry's was raised sad huh? I'm vegan almost 90% of the time with occasional slip ups for crunchy roll sushi or cream cheese. I'm giving myself more time to full adjust though. I'm a good cook but all my vegan recipes take forfuckingever so half the time I end up eating mostly raw foods, which are good, but not as tasty imo.

    Losing weight last fall I totally attribute to watching portion sizes. I can't believe how many calories I was consuming because I was wolfing down 3 servings of pasta and then waddling around stuffed. I think the only thing to do now is to start to introduce more exercise consistently. I'm scared to go get a 24 hour pass because of all the horror stories I've heard trying to cancel it. I need to exercise though. I can use my school's gym two days a week when I commute up to it but its not worth the 80 mile drive otherwise.

    Should I post pictures? I'd have to take some but I'm wondering if thats really helped anyone here.

    Shooting for 5lbs by the end of this month. I'd like to lose 10lbs but I'm really down to the last few pounds here so its tough to budge. I need more toning in my thighs and legs that has disappeared since I've been being a lazy bum.

    OK, so I was 125 and now I'm 129.8, so I guess I only gained about 5 lbs, but either way, it sucks!

    I'm not gonna do pics and shit, 'cos I forgot to collect all that info. this morning.

    I'm currently trying to motivate myself to get on the fucking treadmill, but I have some unpacking to do and I refuse to unpack and for some reason that is my excuse as to why I shouldn't workout- because I refuse to unpack.

    really, I just don't want to change.

    man I have like a MILLION dumb reasons why I don't want to work out.

    maybe it's time to tally all the food I ate and look at pictures of super models- that'll teach me!

    totally fucked up tonight. ate a TON of food. I'm gonna say I was about 1800 calories.

    ok tomorrow, FIRST THING. I'm gonna take pictures, cry over 'em, post 'em so I can be even more embarrassed, and then work the fuck out.

    Not so much lose weight (I'm t a good weight now) but tone up and eat better. I slipped so very, very badly on the eating better! Lots of junk and bad carbs.

    I wanna loose 10 pounds. This may not be realistic since I just had a BA and exercise is limited. I got permission to walk today, that's what I'm about to go and do! I'm going to eat healthies too, now that my stomach can handle more than just crackers. Thanks guys! Best of luck to everyone.

    Can i get in on this too? I need to lose like 15 pounds and my gut so i can feel better about auditioning for the first time.

    My body is ok except for my gut....any suggestions as to how to get rid of it? It is mostly from having kids so i think i may have to give in and get a tummy tuck or just face that it will suck for ever!

    I haven't been checked out and weighed for a while. I don't even own a scale right now. I need to go to the doctor and get an accurate idea of how much I weigh so I can decide if I want to lose anything. I really just want to tone up as much as possible in the next four to six weeks before I move to SoCal. I want to commit to excerising and toning up since I'm out of work from my BA as well. I'll post my accurate weight when I go for a check up.

    Hey, how are folks doing?

    My stats:

    5'8", 137 pounds
    27 inch waist, 38 inch hips
    bodyfat 22%

    I have a big frame, so I don't want to lose lots of weight. I just want to get leaner, and do it in a healthy way. I'm too weird about eating if I try to diet, so I'm just going to concentrate on making healthy choices, and working out consistently. I'd like to get my bodyfat a bit lower, my waist a bit smaller.

    I am 5'3" and 130 pounds.
    If I loose 5 more pounds I'll be my drivers license weight so thats goal #1.
    Ultimately I'd like to lose a total of 25 pounds this year, as soon as possible.
    I've been slooowly losing weight just by eating fewer calories, but I know I can lose more rapidly if I could get the energy to exercise. I am planning on adding 20 minutes of cardio a day and alternating short sessions of pilates and free weights 6 days a week until I build up my endurance.

    Oh yeah - and I'm cutting out alcohol, limiting my diet soda intake, and trying to make one of my meals a salad.

    I'm so in. I want to lose 5 lbs this month. I'm not going to be super strict with exercise since the school semester is coming to a close and thats enough stress right there. But I have no excuse not to limit my eating with major portion control and no late night food, even after work when I'm starving.
