    Default I love wild weather

    I absolutely love it.
There are gail force winds today in Melbourne. Trees are being uprooted. I love it!!
It gives me this sense of being so small in the scheme of things. As much as humans think they are in control of this planet we are not - thankfully. Mother nature dishes it back and shows who is boss hehe.

My favourite weather is extremely heavy rain and thunderstorms. The forecast is for hail and thunder this evening woohoo.

Rock on , Jaizaine - I've always loved a really good lightning storm....sitting at the window and watching the strikes across the sky! Am I wrong??

I'm a violent weather nut myself, but how many of these do you get down there?

Me too. I love when the wind is so strong it's hard to walk through it. And I love storms, the more intense the better. If I had a big private yard I'd walk around in the rain naked. I don't care.

Intense weather is rare here though.

I always am aware of how small I am in the big scheme of things. It can be good therapy to keep it in mind.

    Tornado<--------->me thousands of miles away.
Your favorite weather is my scariest weather. Maybe because it doesn't rain that much around here. Give me good ol sunshine and lots of heat..dry heat.

Whoa doc that link you provided! Scary.

Nah we miss out on the most extreme weather. Although I think QLD gets cyclones. Now I like watching hurricanes and tornados on tv but I wouldn't wanna be there that would be a bit to scary.

When it rains I actually like to sit outside and get rained on a bit. Im a little weird but it's good to know others appreciate this sort of weather too.

I get soaked lol. And rain smells sooooo good! My parents would always yell at me when I would go play in the rain, said I was going to get struck by lightning. Although my father tried to shower outdoors in a thunderstorm once when we were all asleep....

Not sure what's going on in this end of the world, but RI has been having gale-force winds and tropical temperatures all day today. It's creepy, but awesome at the same time!

    I love thunderstorms too!

And another plus is that because of the wind, the power's gone off at uni and my boring law lecture was cancelled! Yay for the storms!

I love the wild weather too--we're having wild rain and wind tonight in New England (New Hampshire).

I saw an extraordinary documentary this weekend, called IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON. It really gives you a sense of the danger and courage involved in our flights to the moon--the sense of what it was like to sail into deep space, to circle the darkness of the moon, to land on it and hope that the LM would, with its one engine, be able to take off again. To look at the earth hanging in the blackness of space, this precious oasis. One of the astronauts said, "I don't complain about the weather. I'm glad we HAVE weather." This wild weather makes me grateful for life.

I'd be loving it more if I didn't live at the edge of a forest with a heap of creaky old tree branches waiting to drop on my roof! I got trapped TWICE on my way home today by dropped branches blocking the road. But I still like it too!

On a totally unrelated note I had a dream with you in it last night Jaizaine... you were one of the school mums at my daughter's school. Lol not sure what made it "you" since I dont even know what you look like, but you know what dreams are like!!

    and Darwin.

    Cyclone Tracy anyone? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Tracy

I know I experienced a lame ass cyclone.. Cyclone Monica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Monica) up there. She hit land too soon for it to be any real bother to Darwin. My flight still landed fine.

I love storms and tornados too!
When I was 6 I was with my family in Minnesota at my grandparents house. There was a tornado parallel to their house a few miles away. It was big! Everyone was in the basement, except me I ran outside with the video camera and was filming....LOL when my parents found me they were sooo pissed.
