Default Tiny little girl murdered in Salt Lake City

A tiny little seven year old girl disappeared yesterday and was found beaten to death today. Hser Ner Moo was a refugee from Burma, and her picture shows the tiniest little girl you could imagine.

What kind of bastard could do this to a little girl? They have three people "in custody." Whoever did it will end up with life in prison, three square meals, TV, college. Damn.

Yup. I'm watching this on the news right now. It's really sad. I'm still curious why they waited to give the amber alert til today, when she was missing last night. Either way, it's tragic.

The three were not identified, I would like to know what kind of people are capable of this.

I can't even begin to imagine it, Azn. I don't know what would possess someone to harm a child. Just disgusts me to no end.

There are now 5 people in custody. They are not announcing any details except that there was "trauma". They aren't releasing any info about the suspects as of yet.

    ^^What she said.

What the hell is wrong with some people? A child! A 7 year old child! I don't think there is any justification for such horrific acts. Sickos.

I cant help but think - 5 people... no names being released. Did other children do this to her? Tragic either way.

I don't mean to be an insensitive bitch but I'm unhappy when ANYONE is killed in a horrible manner or killed at all. Innocent 7 year old? What makes a 20 year old less innocent? What makes it happening to an adult less tragic? The fact they lived longer? It's so sad when it happens - to ANYBODY. Not just children.

    I agree.

I just think it's more of a shock when it happens to a child, b/c they're so small and helpless. Plus most people just naturally want to protect children, it's an instinct, so that makes it even more horiffic. The fact that they don't even really understand most of the time makes it even worse.

It's probably a GOOD thing they have no idea what's going on.

I wonder if they are minors? I can't imagine three adults getting together to beat a little girl to death.

I agree that it is sad either way.... but adults can rationalize things better than children. Imagine getting raped at age 20 and then imagine getting raped at age 7. Obviously a 20-year-old could deal with it much better.

I was raped at age 7. I deal with it just fine because I didn't even realize what happened until I was 14. It was the rape at 15 that fucked me up. Because I was old enough then to 'seduce' my attacker and 'lie' about it.

It does make sense that minors did it, which is so sad.

How do children learn those things.

    Their parents.

Edit: Or someone did it to them.

The world is seriously more fucked up than people even remotely can begin to realize sometimes.

    Some people are so whack.
I was attacked and molested by minors when I was 10. Repeatedly at a "friends" house. My family still doesn't know. Anyone who can attack someone, regardless of age, is fucked up. This is why I hate people (except on SW)

There was an update today, 4 of the 5 have been released, one was arrested.

The one arrested was a 21 year old boy, apparently the others weren't home when the attack/murder happened, and he had his own bathroom (where the girl was) and no one had been in it that day, so the other 4 didn't even know what had happened.

The guy that was arrested had no prior criminal history. They aren't announcing whether or not there has been a sexual assault as well, which I assume means there was

Imagine getting your little girl safely out of Burma and then this happens to her in Salt Lake City, of all places.

Salt Lake City isn't any better than any other big city when it comes to crime. People just think it is because the Mormons have such a goody-goody image, but there are just as many good and bad people there as anywhere else.

This is not the first murder of a small child, and it won't be the last, but every one of them makes me just furious. I think the perpetrator better not post bail, or he may get what he deserves.

yep. burmas a not so nice place. we almost accidently drove there from thailand when we got lost, thank god we stopped short of the border, its a very dangerous place for foreginers, and a massive military control. scary.

poor kid. poor parents. the price they paid for freedom of a better life aye?

I think what happens is that when you have a child and you hear of something like this happening to another child, it makes you think about your child and something terrible happening to them. Also you realize when you have a child how vunerable, innocent and helpless they can be.

When something happens to an adult it is also terrible because you think of all the things they have gone through (good and bad), they made it to that point in their life and then in an instant it is gone.
