Im getting botox put under my arms in 2 weeks. I sweat. Bad. Ive yet to find an antipersperant that really works. I know, TMI.... Its $1200 and lasts around 6 months which is worth it to me.
Has anyone here had this done? How were the results?

Where do you get this Odaban and what exactly does it do?
I've been interested in underarm botox but don't have that kind of money. At all.
I sweat really bad, it's so embarassing. in the summer I'll wear layered shirts most of the time so it doesn't show through. It is soooo embarassing.

I am also getting this in a few weeks (same price)! My doc guarentees that it will work and has performed it on many patients. The "stars" also do this. I was also thinking about getting it in my hands but am broke right now. This is the best solution ever! I am the biggest sweat machine and haven't worn a colored shirt outside in years-just black. Let me kno how tours goes and good luck!
I use Certain Dri (about $5 from your friendly neighborhood Target/Walmart/etc) and it does work. You apply it at night before bed. It's very harsh, though, so I usually use it a couple nights in a row, then maintain by using it every 2-3 days.
I have this problem too. It really sucks. I can't wear cute little shirts in the summer. Any material touching my armpits get soaked. I own about 100 tank tops to last me through the summer. I have tried Certain Dry and that doesn't work for me. I thought about the botox but my Mother pointed out that wouldn't the sweat just come out somewhere else? Sometimes I sweat down bellow and even between my thighs. The doctor just prescribed me Drysol so hopefully that will dry me out.

You're hardcore! I used Certain Dri for about 6 months and the itching became unbearable!!! I switched to Secret Clinical, and then I got Mitchum since the anti sweat stuff is the same ingredient and strength as Secret. I find with Secret, I have to use it EVERY night or else I'm a sweaty mess the next day... with CD, I only applied 2-3 times a week. However, I'm not waking up in the middle of the night because my underarms are itchy.

I've never found a cake or gel anti-perspirant that works for more than about six hours, and they all stain shirts, but my own particular lifesaver is Ban Roll-On (the kind in the green bottle with the pink and black label.) It's unisex as far as I can tell and has an almost nonexistent scent, but it's very strongly made (18% aluminum chlorhydrate) and a very light application does me for 24 hours in cold weather, 12 in hot weather.

I used Drysol as a teen and had great results. I used it for maybe a year and it seems to have shut down those sweat glands. Like, I can go running and be soaked everywhere, but my underarms are bone dry.
One thing about Drysol. They recommend you do it before bed, but it has a strong prickly-heat feeling. Unless I had been drinking, it was too hard for me to fall asleep. So I used it in the morning instead. I think I used to use it 1-2 times per week and then used a normal anti-perspirant on the other days.
Certain Dry didnt work for me neither did Mitchum or Secret Clinical.
I was thinking of getting Drysol but its medical grade and I dunno - Im at the point where I just dont have to deal with sweat ever (well, at least for 6 months)
I did some research on that odaban - seems it works well for some so if you cannot afford the botox from what ive read that stuff would be a great alternative.
I have also heard that you can get surgery to stop you from sweating under your arms, its called Retrodermal Curettage but Im just going to go with botox...
I've heard that you can have surgery too, that some people have too many sweat glands or something. I'd rather do that and pay all at once and get it done permanent than the botox. They must use a shitload of botox to do it, because my eyes were only $150.
