Default Things that f*ck with business:

(That are, far as I can tell, beyond my control):

    1. The perpetually malfunctioning ATM at our club. Jesus Christ, tabernac-hasti!! As you can imagine, it's really inconvenient to get a customer to spend when he can't take out money in the club!! This goddamn thing keeps breaking down. Usually they tell the customer to go to the bartender, which they are only allowed to do when the machine is not working. That takes lots of time, since the bartender is crazy busy. So much wasted time, just to get paid! And then, sometimes the bartender 'can't pay out any more cash', in which case you have to send the customer outside the club to go find money, which is obviously not ideal. Last Sunday night I was doing really well, and then the ATM busted down, plus the bartender couldn't pay out cash, PLUS the ATM at the bar above the club was broken...So annoying! I complained to the manager, but he acted all snitty about it. Grr!

    2. Girls who are BLATANT scammers. It seems to be getting worse and worse. Girls who habitually round up 4 songs to 5, 8 songs to 10...and last night I heard this girl bragging about making a guy pay her $130 for two fucking songs! It's $20/ song. She was totally just manipulating a drunk guy, and then bragging about it. And then a customer told me another girl that night told him the three songs they did 'were actually ten songs'. Or all the girls who fail to explain to out-of-town guys that the pricing is per song. They just dance and dance, and then say 'that'll be $260' or whatever. Admittedly, some of those guys are a little too oblivious, but still. Whenever a customer gets really pissed about being taken for a ride by some dishonest idiot dancer, it makes him way less likely to get dances from anyone else. Sometimes the guys get so angry they grab their buddies and piss off for the night. Really, really bothers me. Way to make us all look like scum, you know?

    3. (And this is less common) when all the dance booths are occupied, and I can't give a dance. The customers have to wait around, and then sometimes leave.

Any other complaints? Anything y'all think I could do about these problems? I'm really just frustrated and ranty right now, but it's obviously a pain in the ass. It's already hard enough of a hustle these days.

    Hookers in the club

Management that allows girls and custies to get away with shit they shouldnt

The fact that you cant run a tab in my home club...you HAVE to buy funny money...its put off a few guys from spending anything at all

A limited bar...when you dont have some of the basics like Captain or Grey Goose people get pissed and leave

Bar scamming guys by giving them extremely watered down drinks and charging up the ass for them

Making guys pay insane amount for a dancers drink. Seriously...$25 for a bottle of water or a drink thats barely bigger then a shot? If the bar is scamming them right off the bat..they assume the dancers will too.

(I'll add more as I think of them..I'm getting ready to leave for a shoot)

    I hear ya!
When I used to work in the Midwest this would happen constantly on Friday or Saturday night (the big $$$ nights )
I was just working a seven day booking so those nights were GOLDEN! Grrr, thinking about it still pisses me off! I complained to the owner and he got snitty too. Learn how to run a CASH BASED business, dummy! At least they can get cash at the bar. My customers had to run down the gas station while I held on their ID.

This is the bain of my existence!!!! The lines for VIP can be 20+ minutes at times!!! I've waited 20 minutes (what a mood killer), only to have the guy change his mind

I've learned to have them pay me while we wait. They are less likely to leave and if they are totally inebriated (usually the case) and have to puke, go to the bathroom or wander off in a drunken stupor, I haven't wasted my time.

I just tell them flirty and cutsey as we get in line, "feed the kitty", while I shove my boobs in their face or pull my g-string out to accept prepayment.

For #3, can you do table dances? They're usually cheaper so not ideal, but it's better than the guy leaving without getting anything.

If you have decent management I would bitch about the scammer girls. That's not good for business for them either.

#1 YES YES YES or should I say NO!!!! we have a stupid broken ATM too. You can count on it to do its thing maybe half the time. It's just such a pain. We have 2 machines but it's still a pain to lead the dude over to the other machine, wasting time, when you COULD theoretically be making money if the damn thing worked in the first place!!!

Wow...I had no idea the malfunctioning ATM was such a common problem. We have this problem, too, and it has lost me money more times than I like to think. I also hate the fact that our ATMs will only let customers take out $100 at a time, and charges a $7 fee each time. Even big spenders feel ripped off by this. Also, the machine takes a reaaaally long time to process each request. Guys are way less likely to just be impulsive and grab a whole bunch of money and spend it if it takes ten minutes and a whole lot of button-hitting.

If you've already done several hundred dollars worth of dances, you stand there with the customer while he goes through this whole song-and-dance with the machine, getting hit up for $7 each time, and getting less excited all the time. By the time he gets your money out, you've gone from Gorgeous, Adorable Sex Goddess to Mean Bitch Taking All My Money Away. There's this whole seperate "cash machine hustle" you have to do, flirting and dancing madly the whole time, just to keep this from happening.

Dear managers, I know it hurts your hearts to spend a few thousand more on a speedy cash machine, and I know it gives you wood to charge the customers 7% interest on withdrawals, but I personally guarantee you you will see your money increase if you make it goddamn easier for customers to get to it.

YES I hate the girls scamming guys for money. $130 for 2 lapdances is fucking ridiculous. So is that shit where the girl charged him 10 (TEN!!) lapdances for 3 SONGS?! Just ask for a damn tip! (not as much i know, but the guys prob appreciate the honesty)

Looks like those guys probably won't be coming back, unless they were blacked out or something.

We have 2 chairs.....so only 2 customers can get dances at once. I'll admit that our club is kinda hit or miss with dances, but on the nights when it's a hit it's outta control and we usually have to squeeze a regular chair in and gets a little cramped but it works. So I feel you on that.

the ATM malfunctions at other clubs too? I was thinking it was just ours.

The girl that fingers herself on dances fucks up money for everyone else at our club. I have watched some girls pay out early and go home or call their Sugar daddy to make money. She really messes up the club dynamics.

I hear you on the broken ATM's and not enough chairs or couches to do lapdances! It really sucks. I've worked in clubs that only had one or two lapdance chairs so on busy nights, you were stuck waiting forever to do a dance. I offered to give guys a lapdance out in the open so we wouldn't have to wait, but most guys would say no, they'd rather wait because they felt they wouldn't get enough privacy. Which I can understand, but it sucks to waste so much time. Clubs should always have enough seating for lapdances.

Another thing I hate that fucks with business is at a couple clubs where I've worked, dancers had to pay the bartender or DJ up front for each dance. If you did a lapdance and the custie decided he wanted another one, you had to get out of the lapdance room and go buy another ticket from the bartender or DJ. It kills the mood and a lot of custies complained about it.

What is up with broken ATMs? If I was running a club I would fix that so fast it would make your head spin. And yet we all seem to encounter it constantly. It's way worse than a guy's credit card getting declined, because he doesn't even get the chance to try to get at the cash.

^^I know! I love my club, but I'm so irritated at this machine right now that I'm thinking of going somewhere else for a while. It's the worst when a guy goes to the ATM, can't get money, and says 'oh well, guess I'll just spend the little that I have'. That happened exactly last night, and I was pissed.

The fact that we're not allowed to have any fun at all with the customers. Meaning:

    1. We don't have a pole and we can't do floorwork. So guys get to watch a girl walk around in circles causing them to become very bored very quickly.
    2. We can't wear what we want. We have to wear short dresses from 7-10 and from 10-close we wear long gowns. Guys don't want to feel like they're at prom. They want to see strippers scantily clad.
    3. We're not allowed to take tips anywhere but in our garters. Hand to garter. We can't take money out of mouths, boobs, etc...We also can't take them with our g-strings or boobs or mouths.
    4. We can't have a cig with a customer at their table.

We have very dumb, non fun rules at our club and it hurts business. What guy wants to go to a club where they're so restricted?? Especially this day and age it takes alot to keep a guy happy. And when he can't even put a dollar in your g-string, well that's lame.

^^ That too!!! Beers at our club costs $4 for domestic, $5 for imported. $6 for dancer's drinks. $8.50 for red bull and vodka $5.50-$9.00 for mixed drinks.
Champagne Rm for an hour is $450. And we only get $200 of that. But since they usually pay in funny money, the club gets a % and so does the champagne hosts. So after all that we only get $160 for the hour. I could do 8 dances in an hour. It's not worth it. Gah! I'm getting so worked up now!

Our drinks are that expensive, and they're not even alcoholic. The cover charges get ridiculous, you have to have your cell phone and coat checked and you have to pay for each...

I hear you on the broken ATM! Ours is ok right now, but for the first two years I danced it was either broken or took forever. It wouldn't read 80% of cards for no apparent reason, leaving me freaking out standing next to a guy who tried card after card... not a good feeling! You can get cash from the bar at my club, but the bartender is very busy and doesn't like to be annoyed with it. Then there's the problem of people knowing how much money the guy is taking out. I've forbidden my regular from getting cash from the bar because the waitresses spy on him and go around telling all the girls how much he took out, I kid you not. Yesterday at work 3 girls asked me, "Did you get the entire $800 he took out?" Rude! I told him about it and he was very upset by it.

The area I live in fucks with our business more than anything. Our owners had billboards up on the freeway but the city prudes bitched and moaned until they took them down... same with the signs in town and the TV advertising. They hate the fact that the strip club is there and will do anything to keep tourists from knowing about it. We have seen a huge decline in business over the last few years, and while I know the economy is bad, part of it is because people don't know where the heck we are.

I heard a rumor that some major credit cards may not be accepted at the Vu much longer. The companies don't want to associate with strip clubs.

I have the same problem! We have to pay upfront, and then half the time wait for a booth. (there is only 6, and 1 is visible to the whole club, with 15 girls on!) I get lots of guys extend, (the other girls rarely do) and have to come back out to pay the hostess. Oh and they will CHANGE THE STAGE ROTATION, while you are in a LD, then call you out of the LD to get on stage!

I cant wait to leave this place, 4kg to go!
