Default How to handle a customer that thinks you did less dances

Okay so I was talked to by management about a customer that came in and said I scammed him. That I did 4 dances but charged him for 8.... i was like no thats not true, b/c firstly i would remember since I usually only get like 3 or 4 dances from a guy and if I DID get 8 dances it would have been the truth b/c I keep track of songs! plus, wouldnt he have complained at that time that i "overcharged" him? why wait months later? and how do you handle a customer that disagrees on the number of dances done(besides getting $ up front since this turns alot of guys off)?? woiuld management stay on your side or is the customer always right in this situation? just wondering for future...

My manager prolly wouldn't even mention this to me, as it's complete bullshit. If you got scammed, they have to say somethign THAT NIGHT. If they come back months later, hahahahaha. Actually, my manager might tell me so we could have a good laugh about it. I <3 Him.

I don't stack dances either, unless it's with someone I know and trust (hah, trust b/w custie-dancer is thin, at best) and even then I remind them every 2 songs or so where we are number-wise.

Yeah, it's sort of amazing to me that management even said something to you about it.

I'd watch out for this guy coming in again and causing you problems, though. Here's why: an extra 4 regular dances is running him (give or take) $100. That's a relatively small amount of money to make a big stink about a month later. If he took the trouble to contact the club and complain about this, there's something else going on. Either he's kind of nuts, or you did something to really piss him off, or some combination of the two.

I would stay far away from this guy in the future if I were you. Something's not right here if these were just regular dances and he's been getting them from you for awhile with no problem.

That guy is a liar. Months later and then complains?? Yea buddy you're totally believable. I hope the club didn't make you pay back any of the money. If you see him again let him know that everyone knows what he's up to.

Yep. I can't imagine most managers would take a guy like that seriously. Like, everybody knows that guys who would complain about something like that would do it in the moment not months later, unless there's something *else* going on.

Definitely avoid any dealings with this dude in future. And keep your eyes peeled.

As for dealing with the whole dance count issue, I am very good at counting and don't get many complaints, but on the rare occasion a guy claims he thought I did fewer dances I tell him very seriously that I am POSITIVE it was X number, I don't run scam and...."I asked to do another between every song, remember?" They always say something like "oh I'm not accusing you of lying, sorry, your dances were worth it anyway" and hand over the cash.

I always always always ask about another dance on every single song, unless it is someone I've established a relationship with and I know he always buys so many dances. Even then I will make a lil reminder every few songs so he knows where we are. Asking between every song is, in my experience, the absolute best way to make sure both you and custy are on same page.

    well heres what else happened.
i was dancing for this psycho the other day (yeah he was dead serious that he murders people O_O) so after one song i was like thats it buddy, pay up. he said he didnt have money that his friend had it. so we went to find his friend who was getting a dance so i was like "hey your friend just got 1 dance" so the friend paid. shortly after the dancer that was dancing for the friend called me in the dressing room to tell me that that guy said i scammed him blah blah blah...then i heard about it from management 2 days later...so maybe she and this guy are fucking w/ me? i dont know...if thats the case they need to seriously get lives! yeah the whole thing doesnt make sense to me either.

i dont really like dealing w/ the nonsense so i just tolda the manager it didnt happen and hes like oh well just dont do it again. he didnt believe me.

With the less stubborn guys, I usually giggle and said "It was X number of songs, but it sounds to me like you may have been a little too distracted to count *giggle*".

IMHO they *never* actually think they did less. This type just wants to scam you and see how little they can get away with paying.

Fortunately at one of my clubs, the bouncers keep close track of the time. They actually write down the time when you go back to the couch room and the time you come out, and every 4 minutes is one dance. So if a custy gives me shit and tries to rip me off, I say "we'll go check with the bouncer." At this point half of them just pay up b/c they know they're not going to get away with it. I drag the other half up to the bouncer's desk and ask him how many we did.

Things sound kinda really weird where you are sweet petite. If I were you, I would get my money in advance for each song that way way there will be no confusion. At least until the confusion about money clears up.

When a customer hits the $100 mark, I always remind them how much they have already spent.

If the management isn't giving you a hard time about these incidents, just blow it off and try to use some of the above posters' suggestions in future. Make sure before you start that they know how many songs equal one dance, and what the price is. Then keep count: OK, that was 2. Now we're at 3. Etc, etc.

Doesn't always work, I know. For me, though, if the management believes I scammed a guy (and I LIKE working at that club) then I will offer a compromise to make it right. The club usually likes that, and it mollifies the customer who might drunkenly believe he DID get ripped off. Yes, that usually means doing a free dance, but in the end it'll cost me less aggravation then rightly standing my ground.

I've had a couple situations like this pretty recently, PM me to hear how I handled it as I don't want to threadjack.

management would back me 100%. they would also probably give the customer free drink cards, comped entry or whatever for his next visit (as long as he wasn't aggressive).

so IOW at my club (and the way i feel it -should- be) they would try to sympathize with the customer, apologize for the "misunderstanding", maybe even give him some perks (if he was nice about the whole thing) .. but they would -never- take his side in the actual argument or suggest that i, in any way, owe him money.

the only exception might be if this happened with a new dancer. they would still back her in front of the customer, but they'd probably question her more pressingly about it and she'd be under the spotlight for a bit.

if it happened repeatedly then they'd probably let her go.

I learned my lesson the hard way about not stacking dances at my new club. I never worried about it at my old club, because they had dance counters sitting behind a 2-way mirror in the VIP, and also 3-4 dance counters that would circulate the floor.
At my new place it's a free for all. No dance counting, no bouncers watching anything closely at all for that matter.
One night a guy fucked me out of 130$ cause he said he was drunk and "didn't remember" all those dances. Management didn't back me up at all. They said we are responsible for our own money, and what most girls do is collect every 3 or 4 songs.
That's what I've been doing and haven't had any problems. It goes over alot easier than asking for the money in advance. I have found alot of guys get insulted by this for some reason?
It's better to prevent a problem from happening in the first place rather then trying to deal with it when the damage has already been done.
    Happy money making!

Last nite this guy says "i will get a dance if you give me 2 and only charge me for 1." This is while he had a stack in his hand with hundreds on the top of the stack. How fucking lame. I wanted to put my shoe in his lap and grind his nuts into a paste
