    Default The AbCoaster

I ordered this last week after watching the infomercial and it was just delivered. I have yet to set it up, but I will do it for sure tonite.

It's supposed to help flatten the stomach and give u great abs after a while of using it, so if it works I'll let everyone know.

I wanna see some fat people in an abs commercial go from flab to fab. Tell us how it works. It looks like it has some promise.

I'm a fitness professional and honstly, it's almost mimicking a reverse crunch but it doesn't even allow the body to go through it's full range of motion. If you're not working through full range, it's really not that effective. It would be better to do reverse crunches on a slant board of some kind OR hanging leg raises through full range of motion.

Short ranges of motion like what I just saw on the infomercial target the hip flexors with minimal lower ab activity.

Sorry to burst a bubble. I'd return it.

yep these things end up used for a while then thrown out.

these type of products ads piss me off. before and after and the entire body is transformed from doing a crunch...please.

exercise, nutrition and time - there is no quick, painless, easy alternative.

to get great abs you need to do cardio training such as running, have a healthy diet and do some ab work not just use these silly contraptions.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Biggest thing to remember...... You are never going to lose fat by doing a crunch. At least not unless you do them for 8hrs a day.

... though you do lose fat from doing a regular strength training regimen -- including crunches -- because it speeds up the metabolism. :-)

^^Yeah, and girls definitely DO NOT have to worry about building a bunch of bulky muscle. We mainly just tighten up and get a few cute, tiny girly muscles.

YES! I was just telling my friend this yesterday. I'm always amazed at how some people think getting muscular is such a piece of cake. It's like they all think they're genetically gifted or something.
