I was just curious what everyone feeds their cats? The poll is pertaining to wet food. Why do you feed the cheaper or expensive kind?

If I feed wet, I either feed the whiska's premium or I just go buy some canned fish from the people food section. As long as they get their oils and fatty acids and omegas, and are on a good dry food for nutrition and tooth health, I don't think cheap/expensive matters.
My cats are really picky about the texture of the wet food. They won't eat anything that is ground. They only eat it if it's shredded or flaked etc.. I buy them Pro Plan, 9 lives, whiskers and then feed them the Nutro Max dry food. I would feel better feeding them better quality wet food but it's so hard finding them something they will eat! My finicky eaters!!
^Have you tried "real" fish, that comes in a can? Some of that's flaked.
Or even whole sardines (fresh, not packed in yucky chemicals) or smelt fish? Some kitties turn up at things not in chunks, but will eat a whole fish quite happily.

my cats are WEIRD. for a while they would only eat fancy feast. then it was meow mix. now it's sheeba. if i try to go to something else they ate before, it only gets picked at. they are very spoiled bc they get what they want haha.
My kitty loves Friskies. I tried the other stuff and she doesn't like it.

No wet food. Iams DRY various types/flavors. Other dry types like Purina & Friskies fo variety and a few treats (moist/dry). I've tried specialty store brands. He always seems to like to go back to Iams. Apparently he used to get wet/canned before I rescued him in 2002, as he calls when I'm opening some canned veggie for myself. If it came to it, he would eat and I wouldn't.
He usually isn't finicky at all, but he should have a little variety. I'm a bit concerned that anything he in on exclusively might not suffiently nutritious, so I give him a little variety.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

Purina Cat Chow. Does our felines well.
Guy #1: I'd totally hit that.
Guy #2: Dude, I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England.
Science Diet dry.
I feed my cat Royal Canin 33 dry food (sensitive stomach) and Fancy Feast wet food. I've bought the better brands of wet and he just won't eat it.

i voted 2 options, because i feed a mix of home cooked and dry. i do the same with my dog.
my pets minimally processed home cooked foods..
like i'll cook a bit of chicken/beef/whatever im making on the side for them, without the sauce/seasonings/whatever. i'll also give them fresh veggies and fruit... but the dog is much more likely to eat those than my cats.
i'm a firm believer in pets having at least -some- "real food" in their diet. that whole "don't feed table scraps" mantra is more meant for things like... pizza and such.
meats, veggies and fruits are good for them, in moderation. so long as it isn't on the "no" list for whatever animal it is. for instance, dogs shouldn't have onions, corn, olives, raisins, grapes, and chocolate.
Nutro Ultra Holistic or Natural balance.
Caution to the amount of wet food. It can ruin teeth slowly and cause gum disease just like humans. Occasionnally isn't bad though, because it's high in water and many cats don't drink enough water.
Very true. My female wont eat anything but her dry food...not even treats. My male I give wet food too VERY rarely..maybe once or twice a month as an extra special treat. And I have no idea what he was fed before I got him a few years ago(he was def. owned by someone as he was fixed and declawed when we found him) but he will need a dental cleaning very soon.
And gum and tooth decay can lead very quickly to heart disease.
My baby munches away at his dry food all the time, but I usually give him half a can of Fancy Feast at night too. The reason he gets that one as opposed to others is because he's too snooty to eat anything cheaper, and I can't afford anything more expensive hehe!
I answered Science Diet before I read your message that you referred to wet food only. We only feed the cats soft food once every week or so. Usually they eat dry food to help keep their teeth healthy.
Recently we switched to Science Diet just to see if it would help them stop vomiting so much. Since then, they ahve hardly vomited at all, and what there has been has been much less nasty. Also, their stools are more formed and not so much like diarrhea. And our fat cat is losing weight.
Science Diet costs about twice as much as Friskies or Purina, but they eat less of it. Maybe there is more nutrition per bowl. Since they eat less, it actually doesn't cost any more.

I feed mine dry Science Diet.. that what the shelter I got her from recommended.
I love how you spelled whiskas, "whiskars"![]()

All the stuff you listed is pretty much solely grocery store.
I feed a combination raw and Royal Cannin.
I feed them the 'expensive' kind because it's the healthiest option for my pets and I feel it's my obligation to make sure they eat the best I can possibly afford.

I feed my cat a brand of dry food called Chicken Soup for the Cat Lovers Soul. I am pretty picky about the ingredients in pet food and this has only good stuff. I can only find this brand at this place that sells high end pet food. It's more expensive then the stuff at the grocery store but not crazy expensive. I loves my cat so he is worth it![]()

I feed my cats an assortment. What I mean is I mix a small/medium bag of Healthy Weight Wellness cat food into a big bag a Purina Cat Chow for Indoor cats and I feed them a can wet Wellness a couple times a week.
