Default The best self tanner EVER. SERIOUSLY.

Seriously. It makes Mystic and any other self tanner I've ever used (and I've used them ALL except Jan Tana, which is for body builders) seem pointless and lame. This has truly transformed the color of my skin into a rich, natural dark brown.

It's expensive, $48 for an eight ounce bottle, but I just used it and I'm pretty sure I only used an ounce for my whole body and I am the tannest I have ever been in my life. My boyfriend saw me and was like "Your face is just eyes and teeth in the dark." It's colored when it goes on, so you can definitely see where it's going. It smells great and it's really a good moisturizer, too.

You can get it online or at Ulta. I am never going to the tanning bed again!!!! I wish I knew about this when I started dancing! I would have saved myself a lot of skin damage.

I'll have to look into that. I don't want to harm the new twins.

Wow they sell that stuff by the gallon! http://www.lookingtan.com/order/stor...on=show_detail
I'm gonna have to check it out too. I swore off tanning beds 2 years ago.

So what's your tanning routine, like how many times a week do you apply the lotion, exfoliate, etc..? Every time mine fades I get horrible, blotchy looking skin. Is there a way to avoid that?

    Not sure what you mean.
But. There's some type of a/b thingie that Sally's Beauty sells, that got some raves (on this forum) awhile back. I think it sold for around $20.00 for a kit. Also check out the site
    HTML Code:
     iamtan.com
Hopefully (haven't been on that site) it's still online.
I have used last yr the Jergen's firming gradual. I just got from Target, a newer product they have, that shows color in 3 days, + they gave me gift of the regular Jergens w/it.

I used to love that shit but yeah, it's a little too expensive for me and I am so lazy with self tanners now. It's also a little greenish the first day or so.

Is there a store I can go to or do they stick with selling online only? I just tried Glow Fusion's protein tan from Sephora and it sucked. I'm using Too Faced Tanning Bed in a Tube right now.

^ seriously this stuff I listed makes you look like you have a dark natural tan. Jasmine has a link up in her post where you can get 32 oz of it for $40!!! I got 8 oz at Ulta for $48! Her link is a great deal!

Moisturizing is the key to even absorption so it fades evenly. The second most important thing is just maintaining your fake tan, and by that I mean re-applying before it starts to fade. If they say it lasts 7-10 days, I'm doing another coat on day 4.

I totally agree, this is the most bad ass self tanner on the market. You can find it cheaper on ebay, but make sure its not an old bottle.

I was just thinking earlier that I needed to figure whether I was going to tan in the bed or Mystic for the summer - thanks so much for the links! I'm definitely going to put in order in for this stuff.

I'm about to give back in to tanning. I love my paler than porcelain skin but with black hair I know I look like Vampira sometimes. I'm interested in finding a decent self-tanner that isn't orange to add a little color, but I don't want to look like I belong on Hot Chicks with Douche bags.....although maybe I could be the first hot chick who also is a douche bag?

I don't want to turn green like Alexxa mentioned though.

Kat, this stuff will make you REALLY tan, but it is very natural looking and when you have make up ono it looks great. It's neither orange nor green on me. Just a normal dark tan color.

Absolutely. You just need to be really careful applying it so you don't miss a spot. I wasn't tan at all before!

Ok I think I am actually going to buy this. I have never used a self tanner before, so I am a little nervous, but I trust your recommendations VS.

Jeska, here is what I do to make self-tanner fade well and maintain a constant tan:
    exfoliate in the shower
use a moisturizing body wash (Olay ribbons, or the Cream Oil stuff is great)
apply body lotion to your hands (mainly palms)
apply tanner, blending well using circular strokes
    wash hands
apply daily tanner (like jergens) to the backs of hands, rubbing the backs only together
rub hands together (like washing) applying to entire hand, including between fingers & inner wrists
using a baby wipe, clean palms, between fingers nails and knuckles

Do this daily until desired color is reached. You will have to apply 2 times to face and breasts (if you have implants) for every 1 total body application.

Repeat every 3rd day to maintain and avoid splotches.
Use daily tanner between applications to maintain a really deep tan.

I've been self-tanning for 10+ years and this is the best method I've discovered. The hand trick I learned on sunless.com and it works WAY better than the gloves.

I use a baby wipe in between my toes, around my cuticles, etc
