I am not into the whole pole work thing at all.... I like floor work a lot better. So, do guys really care about seeing a girl do pole tricks that much???![]()

"LIVE FAST DIE PRETTY!!!"
yeah i would like to know too to see if it's worth it to invest in some pole dance lessons and a pole for my new house... because I'd love to learn how to do it, i just suck. I can do basic things like climb it, use it for certain dance moves, a couple basic spins, etc... but nothing really impressive. Do guys even care?
See... I'm the same way! I can go upside down, spin around it.... ya know, basic stuff, but I'm just not into doing all the tricks. And also, when I see girls do all the tricks, they don't even pay attention to the guys....basically screwing themselves outta $$$ in my opinion

The only time i'm mesmorized by pole tricks is when I'm completely gone and this is prob. by 3-4AM...
It really doesn't do anything for me - I respect it - but I have friends that love it and makes them want to buy dances from the dancers that can do all the tricks.
I actually like the floor stuff better.

IMHO guys care about you having SOMETHING that makes you stand out onstage. Maybe that thing is pole work, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.![]()
hmm.... good answers

And if your chances are ruined of getting a LD from a guy because you can't do pole tricks..
He might have other issues to work out....

I'm all about looking good and making sure custies are entertained, but I don't understand sweating the small stuff. If someone REALLY objects to the fact I didn't climb the pole (or my shoes are too tall, or my toes aren't painted, or my thong's not his favorite colour...)...no big loss there! I don't want the hassle of dealing with his finicky ass.

I'm indifferent to it.
I've seen some amazing pole dancers not get tipped by anyone in the club.. which annoys me because it's not easy!

interesting thread. i used to do pretty amazing pole tricks (if I do say so haha) but since I have had my boobs done i dont use the pole at the moment.
i notice i get more dances now on the table - my club we dont get tipped up there we get paid $20 if they want us to get nude on the table for one song. when i was busy doing pole tricks they watched, clapped etc but now i do the sexy floor work and just fondle my breasts and they sit there waving their $20s.
My theory - men like boobs more than pole tricks LOL.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
I love watching pole tricks. I know we're spoiled up here in Vancouver as the majority of girls incorporate them into their stages. It makes for some very entertaining shows which I make an effort to tip for.
That said, it's very rare that I make my decision to buy dances strictly based upon a girl's willingness (or lack thereof) to perform pole tricks. Of greater importance to me is that the dancer puts an effort into her show on the whole. It could be her appearance, outfit, demeanor, body language... even choice of music. All that counts for me.

I think women care far more about pole tricks than men do. So if you are in a place where you have a lot of female patrons, then I guess it would pay to learn a few moves on the pole. But no matter what you will definitely make the bulk of your money doing dances.

It's impressive to see a dancer that does really great pole work, but the thing that gets me to buy private dances is how she works the edge of the stage going from tipper to tipper. I don't mean what she flashes, but does she touch me, talk to me, give some suggestion that time with her would be fun? That stuff counts way more than pole work.
Come to think of it, the most impressive pole dancer I saw has never given me a lap dance because despite the awesome tricks, her personality was zero.

I really enjoy a good stage show and pole tricks. I do tip extra for a good show. However, it does not necessarily equate to me buying one on one time with you. That is more dependent on who you are or who you present yourself as. If I find you appealing then I will buy one on one time.
So the short answer is...good pole dance = nice stage tip. Not necessarily anything more.
I love a good pole show and will tip accordingly, even if I'm not into the dancer at all. It takes skill and discipline to do a good show.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

Not really
A good stage presence can take all my budgeted money before I even buy a dance.
People are not ruled by their memories.

I do pole tricks but for myself. It amuses me and works out my body. It always seemed that the guys who really cared are the ones who only tip a dollar anyway (whatcha gonna do for this dollar? kind of guy). Guys like it more when I bend over completely naked in front of them and tip a lot more for that. And I have sold lapdances that way because guys think I'm more fun or whatever.

At my clubs since there are no lap dances, everyone wants to see pole tricks. Idk they r great but they just arent me. I have been dancing on and off for a long time. It seems alot of the younger girls are all about the pole and they make more money because of it. Right now I am trying to lose weight for work but moreso personal reasons. I dont think me on the pole would even be a good idea right now. Maybe one day I will learn a pole trick whne i am in a little better shape but right now I dont see it happening. There are girls who want to rip other off and charge like $50 for a lesson. I cant afford that right now. Plus that is a rip off and that in itself bothers me. So I guess if a custy wants that he will have to give his money to another girl..and he does.

If someone does a couple of nice tricks on the pole, I can appreciate it. Even if it's just using it as a prop while you spin/pirohuette (bad spelling), that's fine. More than anything, I'm impressed by smoothness, and gracefullness. The best dancers to me are really polished in this way.
true that.
a lot of dancers have a set of moves and they do them every time on stage,no matter what the song is. i LOVE [ pole or no pole tricks ] some one that really knows the song and controls the stage and the customers at stage side. [ make sense ? ] you can tell who they are the first 20 seconds of the song. around my parts these dancers are fewer and fewer![]()
now what you do on stage wont lose you a dance, but the ones that have that ^^ swagger are the ones i want to talk with when you come off of stage.

IMO pole tricks aren't necessary, however they can draw a lot of positive attention from a crowd who may not be very involved with what's going on onstage. I've also noticed better stage tips when pole tricks are involved, esp from customers who aren't going to buy and dances. It's a fun way to show off.
