Depends if you have enough breast tissue to support the loose skin. If not, I assume a lift is in order. The cost is probably less if they are only removed and no other work is involved. Is this for you? I would just suggest a consult for a full understanding of what will happen.

Most people that have implants removed replace them with a new set of implants at the same time. You could get a breast lift. There's a couple different methods but I think they all leave scars.

wow, lexi i didn't know you were maybe thinkg about doin that? good luck w/everything if you do go that route. although i'm sure you look hot, i bet you look better than you think! (even in the winter)

basically, you're going to wind up paying for blood work + operating room + anesthesia + surgeon's fee simply to have implants removed - which I'm given to understand can be as short of a procedure as 15 minutes. If there is an extra hour of time involved to perform a 'lift' during the same surgical session, the costs will increase proportionally.
PS consider the fact that your own self-image of being 5'2" with 400cc implants is probably a bit over-critical. In comparison, I'm 5'3" with admittedly huge 3800cc implants at the moment ... and in retrospect my former 2500cc implants were BIG, my former 1200cc implants were big, my 800cc implants were definitely noticeable, but my 500cc implants were barely noticeable !
No, no, no. Breast implant removal doesnt mean you have to be left looking like this.
It can also take months to heal properly. The breasts can "fluff" over a period of time and become fuller and perkier. of course the end result may depend on a few things - the surgeon, how much breast tissue there is to begin with, implant complications and so on.

Hi Melanie,
I think I remember reading awhile back that once you completely retire you will have your string implants removed? Is this still the case? Will you gradually step down in size or have you settled on a size you'd like to get and stick with?
Lexi,
Are you considering smaller implants or taking them out all together? I often feel frumpy in the winter (before I moved to L.A.) and found that wearing very tight under layers helped to not be so frumpy looking. Also cute scarves and hats always helped too :-)
No I am not thinking of doing this anytime soon, but it was just a thought. I love how they came out... they look great. But sometimes I think I went too big. I dont know, I feel like I look heavy or something.
Thanks thoughHow are yours doing?
Yeah thats what I thought. I just didnt think they would "leave" you there with the skin looking the way it would after removal. (I had my boobs done because they were uneven and definitely saggier than they should have been.) So I know that if I remove them, they will sag.
Thanks for the info Mel. 3800 ccs! Wow.![]()

Was this your first winter with them? Maybe it's an adjustment period? Maybe you miss them because they've been under wraps all winter? :-)

A friend of a friend had hers removed, and she also had a lift. It cost more to have that done than when she had them put in but she was really happy.
Are yours high profile? The reason I ask is when I was trying on sizes at the PS's office I realize that the low profile ones made me have more of a stumpy look but the high profiles didn't. I'm short and have big hips.

High profile is how far they stick out forwards so that they look big from the side.

Is the message I got trying to open this thread, lol.
They wouldn't necessarially. I mean 400ccs flat can be a puddle but a tube of 400 ccs can be a mighty big sausage. So you could tell by if the base of it is large or small where the CCs would be.

Didn't Jenna Jameson remove her implants? Her boobs look nice.

I really haven't given a whole lot of thought to details in this regard. As long as my string implants aren't giving me problems, and as long as my back doesn't give me problems, I'm not in any hurry. However, the day will eventually arrive when I'll have to have my cup size reduced back into the first half of the alphabet. I'll probably go with something like low profile 800cc implants out of the Mentor catalog.Hi Melanie,
