Default How can I be a good customer?

I am not a big spender. I never will be, it is just not my nature. I am also not interested in playing make believe and hopeing that a dancer thinks I'm anything more special than just another customer.

If a dancer comes to my table I'll give her a buck or two, if I'm sitting at the stage I'll tip a buck a few times per dance. No amount of coersion is going to get me to buy a lap dance. No offense, but I'm not interested. I've come to look at the pretty ladies, and perhaps talk a little bit if it is a slow night.

I do _not_ want to interfere with a dancer moving on to a more profitable customer. I am aware this is a living, and earning a buck is hard work.

So, how can I be me - a frugal fellow - and not be the bane of the dancers for being too damn cheap. Frankly this is why I typically would rather not go to a SC. I'm not concerned about what someone thinks of me, it is what I think of myself, and I'm not there to mess with someone's income.

(BTW -- the answer for me is not "don't be so freaking cheap, spend more money" -- but it may be "stay the hell out of the clubs if you don't want to spend more."

I think you are concerned about what the dancers think of you. And yes, it is probably along the lines of "the bane of the dancers".

The two answers you cite at the bottom are both correct...but do whatever makes you happy.

Be up front that you don't want a dance. Nicely. If you make some girl sit and talk you need to tip her, unless you have told her this. You might do best sitting at the tip rail (as long as you are tipping every girl and not doing that ' hand wave' thing), since, depending on the club, you may be less likely to be asked for dances. And please, for the love of Pete, don't give us some huge explanation on why you don't like/want dances.

The thing is, frugality, cheapness, whatever you want to call it is well, rather relative...

Shoot, that behavior around these parts would be considered generous.

First off be upfront that you don't go for dances. Second are you tipping when we are chatting with you? Frankly I would rather sit in the dressing room and stare at myself making funny faces in the mirror then chat for free even on a slow night. I would like you a lot more maybe if you brought some food for us. That might sound stupid but we had 2 customers come into my club for years that brought in subs and they didn't go for dances but they fed us and were treated like superstars.

As long as you are not rude or looking for something without paying for it, I wouldn't worry about it.

The girls only care about you having a good time to the extent it affects their earnings. And there is nothing wrong with that.

You should only worry about your spending to the extent if affects your enjoyment. And there is nothing wrong with that either, as long as you adhere to my first sentence.

This is true in a lot of areas other than SC'ing.

Thanks to everyone for the replies, which indeed seemed to cover the spectrum. Let me try a more specific question - when a dancer comes to my table I typically tip my meagar dollar almost immediately. What more if anything can I say or do politely indicate "don't waste your time on me"?

In answers to the few questions -- The one-and-only time I chatted with a dancer I indeed tipped her for her time before I left the club.

No, I don't give a drawn out explanation of why I don't want a dance. I suffice with "No, but thank you."

Regarding sitting at the tip rail, RoseLeigh wrote "as long as you are tipping every girl and not doing that ' hand wave' thing" -- Yes, I tip every girl, and since I have no idea what the "hand wave" thing is, I doubt I do it. I sit there quietly, and put my tip (folded once lengthwise) on the stage for dancer.

I appreciate the comment that many dancers would rather go to the break room than chat with an unknown customer who does not tip.

In response to those who say "then don't come" Then you feel that in all circumstances, no customer is better than a polite, frugal/cheap customer?

Thanks again for the answers, wide ranging as they may be. It only again goes to show how individuals are, well... individul.

I dont know why you go there if you dont want a dance. Is it for a perve at the stage show or are you being dragged their by friends?

Anyway, if you MUST go then at least you do tip at the stage if you sit there.

I dont have any advise about how to tell the girls you are not interested coz some girls will just be persistant anyway. I dont work like that personally but some do.

After reading of your intentions when you do go to a SC...

Nice Rejections, Tipping well if you are at the stage, Not Expecting Free Convo..and I don't think any dancer would complain about you.

I will say though - getting lap dances makes the experience a whole lot better. I often do VIP and wonder what the hell I am doing so i can respect your frugal-ness(is that a word?)

I am not a regular in clubs, but have been twenty times or so. Until the last time, I had only watched the stage show and tipped every dancer during every dance. I always said "no thanks" for a private dance, and the only time a dancer sat and talked with me, asking me to buy her a drink, I have to admit I thought, in my admitted ignorance, that she liked me.

I have a friend who's had lots of experience with dancers, in and out of clubs, and he couldn't believe I'd never had a private dance. He highly suggested I try one someday. So, the next time I was in the club, I decided to try a different tack. Normally I bring about a hundred bucks and spend it over the course of a couple or three hours watching the stage show. This time, I watched a few minutes, saw an incredibly beautiful black dancer, and when she asked if I was interested in a private, I told her I'd never had one, and asked what it involved.

What she told me sounded good, so I shrugged my shoulders and said "why not?" to myself. It was a good decision. She was so incredibly hot it was amazing. She gave me permission to touch anything but her "kitty", and touch I did. All I can say is, the experience was better than most of the real sex I've had, and well worth it. Sure, she bullshitted me about the number of songs which had played, but I paid her anyway, as well as extra tipping, and I then left the club, with no money and after having been there less than half an hour.

All I can say is, I will always get a dance from now on, but fully realize they won't all be as good as that incredible first one.

    I have to agree there.

Now, I forget who said, it was someone on this board, I'm sure: "yes, of course we're half-naked coeds sitting around in our underwear talking to you in a club for fun". No, it is actually our job. We pay the club/DJ/bouncer/etc. to work there in hopes of making that money and more (!) back.

Now, that being said, it doesn't mean that the girl sitting chatting with you didn't like you. I've sat with many customers that I truly liked (sometimes paid, sometimes not) and walked away from egotistical rude assholes that had money.

    Go figure.

A sincere, polite - "No, but thank you." is a perfectly acceptable answer to the lap dance question in my book.

i think maybe if you brought a friend that felt the same way so the both of you can chat, and the girls would continue being tipped (just double cause of 2 guys!) and there would be no real pressure to keep you in free-convo mode especially after polite declines from 2 guys that are just enjoying the scenery.

At least he is tipping something. There are plenty of guys that just sit there and stare and not tip a thing. He may not be spending hundreds of dollars but he isn't sitting there for free either.

In his defense, he does say he tips a few times during the stage show. He doesn't sit there like a dope with him $1 folded thinking it'll get him the world.

Like I said a few posts up, i'd advise to buy LD's because that is what makes the SC and VIP if ya got it....but you can't hate on a guy that tips good for a stage show and politely rejects LD's.

    I hear ya...

To the OP - If you buy at least one LD, it'll be worth it. Maybe 2..

Shit - I wish I could do what he does, save myself a lot of money when i go out with my friends.

You know, with some of the responses in this thread, its no wonder the SC'ing business is going to hell.

Read the OP again, and he's tipping an acceptable amount of money, and not expecting any exceptional attention for it.

Many times when I go, I'll only buy dances from one girl, maybe two, rarely more than three. As far as all the other girls go, I'm probably giving no more than what the OP is giving. So I guess to all those girls, I'm just taking up space too.

As long as he's paying for the eye candy, I don't see where buying LD's are a requirement, unless the club has a stated policy.

if you are there for an extended amount of time, watching stage, etc... and you are only spending a few bucks, then IMO you are getting much more than you are paying for and thusly are being rude to those of us who work hard.

going along with my previous post...

imo tipping, say, a few bucks an hour, is not paying for the eye candy.

if he were just to watch stage and tip reasonably, i wouldn't have a problem with it...

but that doesn't seem like whats happening here. maybe i'm misjudging.

and btw by "reasonably" i dont mean like 20 bucks a dancer or anything like that.

i'm just suggesting that he only stay for the ammount of stage time he can tip decently for.
