See my siggie pic? When I shrunk it down I got those weird looking lines (the block looking ones on my thigh). How do I get rid of them?
Thanks

what program are you using to do this? try another one.

You could manually edit the picture in MS paint or photoshop.
Might be simpler to play with whatever program you used to convert to that size. Try using a different file type, .jpg .png .bmp .gif and converting from something different or use a different program.

You're not shrinking it down to a high enough quality.

High enough quality? When I shrink does it lose quality? I thought it would lose quality if I made it larger, not smaller.
I used Paint to shrink it. I just went to where it says sketch/skew and typed 20 in both vert and hor boxes. Then I cropped the edges until it was the right size.
when you shrink something, to maintain quality, it shrinks in a scale.
MS Paint is horrible at doing this. You're better off downloading one of the many free image viewers.
If you're going for real basic use, I'd do a google search for IrfanView which is pretty good.
If you're going the advanced route, The Gimp is a very capable photoshopping utility

Ooh, Paint is turrible.
If you want a free program that does a reasonable job at most of everything, PhotoFiltre has been my standby for a couple of years now. It's not as good as Adobe Photoshop, but it's miles above Paint. :-)

...and if you'd like to fix something up more quickly than you can learn a new program, PM me. I'm no pro designer, but I'm good at fixing/brightening/sharpening/resizing photographs.
if you dont feel like downloading new Software, MS photo editor comes with XP.
just do image -> resize
