Default One of my co-workers turned up dead :(

This just freaks me out so much. I knew this woman...not well, but well enough that she showed me a picture of her daughter and I sold her some shoes. Her daughters were the whole reason she had to start dancing again at 48, to put food in their mouths. And believe me, things have been slow around here so it was hard going. I'm praying for them now that they don't have their mom, she said she was from a big Italian family though so they will probaby be taken care of. But still, so sad. 48 is really young to die.

We've had 2 girls pass on in the last 3 months. Totally unrelated incidents. One was in her early 40's with 7 kids...kind of a bad dancer, but a really sweet woman. She was killed in a car accident. More recently we had a younger girl who had a seizure in her sleep and died (apparently epilepsy and a drug problem). I didn't really like her, but I respected her because she set the bar for hustling. I'm good, but I'm not nearly as good as that girl was. Anyways, I just think its odd because I hadn't heard any stories like that until very recently...now it seems like girls are dropping like flies.

That's awful. Why does the article say "Police aren't releasing many details, including whether Soltis was dressed for the weather, or at all, when her body was found early on the morning of March 30." Because she was a dancer, she was probably naked? What the hell? Horrible.

Terribe I hope her kids will be taken care of. I really hope it wasn't murder, that would make a horrific situation even worse.

That's very tragic. I would be scared to go out at night after something like that. I hope her kids will be okay.

This is just terrible. We've had 2 girls die at our club, in the past 5 months. One of them was killed after work in a grocery store parking lot by a man who got into her car and shot her. He then got out of her car and left the scene. I don't know what's happening in the investigation, but smells work related to me. I don't know how the other died. Anyway, it's sad, but really hits home when we've worked so close to them.

Wow. All of these stories are really horrible. To the OP, I'm really sorry about your friend... I sincerely hope her kids will be well taken care of.

Those other stories really freak me out.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I keep the cell right by my side as I'm driving in case I'm followed, or even if I get pulled over by a cop so that I can check the legitimacy.

A stripper was killed just this week in Mia after being forced into a car with a gun to her head/later she was found raped and killed. I know becuz my manager was telling all our bouncers to be extra careful and then he went on his uusaul rant about girls not being allowed to talk/or leave with customers outside the club.

It's a horrible thing, but that's the 3rd story I know of locally like that.

However that hasn't happened at my club and I prey it never does.

Still I did lose a close friend of mine who was a dancer at our club to an over dose. She was barely 21, very pretty, 1 of the best dancers on the stage, and every1 loved her ---every1 cried and was there at her funeral we even deciated dances to her song and dressed in black dresses like she always did all that week. I wasn't there when that happened, but when I found out I wished I tried to stop her cuz I cared for her not that she would have listen to me it was just sad that I saw it coming and it was the reason when she called me up to hang and flirt w/me I always made up an excuse not to get closer. It however stucked realizing I didn't have that option anymore and I was going to get to ever see her anymore missing the girl under the image I knew.

Sorry for yr lost and for that of her children/friends/family.

They mentioned hypothermia as a possible cause of death hence the mention of whether or not she was dressed for the weather.

It sounds like she was attacked while leaving the club?

I got that part, But they were assuming that outside of the club she would have been dressed inappropriately for the weather, and it seemed like they meant that had something to do with her being a dancer.

not necessarily... she could have been disrobed by someone else and her body tossed where they found it...

This is scary and really sad.
