    Default Clothing/fashion help

I have a job interview next Thursday to be a model/cocktail waitress for a very high end night club The hourly pay is very good due to the model title, the person hired for the job must have a backround in modeling and cocktail waitressing. The tips are better than being a stripper since it's a bottle service club. I really, really want this job.

However...the job descripton says "must demonstrate the ability to wear designer clothing with flair and techniques associated with modeling industry requirements"

This is where I am lacking greatly. I have no fashion sence. I cannot put together good outfits. Usually I ask to buy everything off the manequin cause I cant figure out how to put together a good outfit. I dont know how to accessorize.

What should I wear? Help? Outfit suggestions? Plus accessories suggestions?
Something classy, interview worthy, slightly sexy, like maybe show a bit of cleavage or some leg, but fashionable and trendy.
Oh, and on a budget. Like maybe the entire thing for under $150. Including shoes. Is that even possible?

I know Bebe SA's are usually extremely helpful, but you'll only be able to shop the sale rack if you want a complete outfit from there, and not including shoes.

What city do you shop in?

Putting together a designer outfit for $150 without shoes would be impossible.

Go to H&M and put together something there. H&M has a lot of sexy business attire that's tasteful and classy. Then get either designer shoes, hand bad or some kind accessories that adds flair.

I also recommend DSW for shoes, sometimes they have some couture steals!

But, yeah even going inexpensive like above you're still going spend over $150.

Study up! Grab a couple copies of Vogue and hit up their website, see the trends and looks and how to imitate them with reasonably-priced knock-offs. That's what I did when I was hoping to get into modeling. You have a great look, ANYTHING will look good on you as long as you wear it with confidence, so don't stress out over it!

Yeah, as others have said, $150 is pretty much an impossible budget if you're trying to go designer. I have a degree in fashion design but only own one designer outfit (a Gaultier shirt/skirt that cost about $3000 for both pieces - but most designers aren't quite THAT pricey at least), since I've never really been able to afford anything else!

Like someone else said, going for a cheaper (but not cheap LOOKING) outfit then splurging on some designer accessories will probably be the best option, but $150 might still be a little slim. As far as WHAT you should wear, I couldn't really say without knowing what sorts of things people wear when working at that club. "Cocktail" can mean an array of things. Is it more on the formal side, or the flashy side? It would probably be a good idea to play up classy and play down flashy for the interview, but you definitely want to show a LITTLE flair, which could be done with a good accessory.

I'd suggest going with mostly black as far as the colour scheme, but make sure to add some colour somewhere, too. Something that suits your skin/hair/eye tone (which I don't know so I can't suggest anything!). Once again, that could be done nicely with accessories. Style-wise, like someone else said, pick up a copy of Vogue (or a couple - you can find international issues at some places too, and the Italian or French Vogues are usually more up-to-date with the fashion world at large than the American one - the US, even New York, is usually a season or two behind the rest of the world) and have a look through it and see if anything catches your fancy, then try to imitate it on the cheap!

Wish I could be of more help, since fashion and clothing is sorta my field and all, but sadly it's not really possible to act as a fashion consultant over the confines of the internet!

In my humble opinion I think accessories REALLY make an outfit. Whenever I see a woman who I think looks really well put together it is because she has an awesome pair of shoes, a stylish purse, and some other sort of really cool accessory like a necklace or scarf. Other than that I think no woman can go wrong with a sexy little black dress...as long as it looks amazing I don't think the cost should matter. So if I were you I would spend the majority of my money on a awesome pair of shoes and some other accessories. Good luck!!
