Default Learning pole tricks via the web...

I'm sure this has been posted before, but does anyone know of a free website that demonstrates pole tricks? I do really well onstage, I'm very energetic and all over the place, but I'd really like to step up my game and learn some pole tricks.

I would recommend paying for classes. Esp for advanced movement. It is TOOO easy to hurt yourself just "tryin' it out" on your own. You could harm yourself that would put you out of work, or in pain, for awhile.
    Please be careful.

I stopped myself before I got to the danger point even though I was trying by myself before work. I realized I didn't know where any limb should go or how to shift my weight, and it's going to take some education in person for me to feel confident in attempting even a basic move. One fall, one broken bone, and goodbye money.

Just found her stuff yesterday. She breaks it down so easily and has a shit ton of stuff on youtube. Breaks it down for people like me who are just starting out on the pole.

^the problem i have with her vids is that she does them with one hand, you're asking for shoulder injuries if you're arms aren't strong enough. if she's showing beginners, they should always have both hands on the pole.

I agree with Sassy....I have had quite a few girls become injured by watching those.

Not only is the hand positioning questionable...but the single arm swing is ASKING for injury!

Ok...as an instructor, I hate saying this..but here goes.

DONT LEARN BY WATCHING...you really have NO clue what they are doing..hands, feet, hips, shoulders..etc!

    There are these options..

DVD's...best out there is Art of Pole Vol 1&2

I will never refer Vertical Dance.

Books...The idiots Guide...Excellent for new polers..has pics, description of move as well as a DVD to watch.

    Online Classes.....2 companies offer these....
    -PoleJunkies...me...Live online, not pre-recorded
    -VD...pre-recorded videos of moves.

    Online Help.....Pole Forums
    www.polejunkies.com/newForum
    http://bodyandpole.myfastforum.org/
    http://polefederation.proboards58.com/

In these forums you will find hundreds of women interested in pole, helpful with instruction, tips and cues to do it safe! Also you will find reviews on classes, videos, books, as well as youtube clips from all the members!

    Hope this helps!
