I don't have any plans at all.. but I would love to be somewhere warm From reading the other posts I understand that there are alot of clubs on the gold coast, but also a lot of girls so maybe that is not the place?
Then i'm thinking Darwin? Or maybe Brisbane... or what about perth? That is a big city to.. please share your wisdom with me
Also I'm all brandnew, so it has to be a place where they are allright with training you a bit...

Perth is a big city? Hahahaha. That's awesome.

I'd pick Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney personally, but I like the culture of Melbourne, the antiques and uniqueness of Adelaide and the city quality of Sydney.

Is this a working holiday or are you a student?
If youre having a working holiday I would suggest traveling all over the place. Not all cities here are great all of the time to work in / or they might be smaller cities and not much fun to live in for a whole year, but if youre travelling you can probably get by and see a lot of things.
If you have to stay in one city and especially if you are only allowed to work 20 hours a week then Melbourne is your safest bet. Unfortunatly Melbourne is not always hot and sunny though - but it is a great city!
Sydney is also fun but the clubs are quiet down there now unfortunately. Still if you dont want to make huge $ you might be ok.
The Gold Coast only has 4 clubs now. Im not sure how good or bad business is currently but maybe some of the other girls can comment. 1 of the clubs is said to be very quiet, so your option is only really 3 clubs.
You might want to research our cities a bit more though to see if they have enough things going on that youll like. A lot of travelers I meet get bored of SE Qld really quickly.

Oops, I forgot Adelaide. I really liked Adelaide, but it has a reputation for being dull.
I havent been to Perth yet

I never got the Adelaide = dull thing. But I totallytotally love antique shopping and markets and stuff so I loooooved it. If you don't like that and are more 'partyhardy' it's boring, I'm sure.

Sydney generally has warmer weather than Melbourne. Melbourne has shocking weather, like quite seriously four seasons in a day. I may be biased but I would much prefer to live in Melbourne over Sydney though!

I have a working visum If that is required... and maybe the idea of travelig around is good
Right now I and all by myself, but maybe it is better to be with an agency? Then they could maybe send you around to different places where they know they need girls, I'm all new... so don't know if it is the smartest or normal thing to do, or maybe they just take all your money for their work?

The time of year will greatly impact where I can recommend you go. Plus are you looking for places where you can work primarily then travel on or work as well as "play" ? Are you comfortable with customer's being able to touch you in a lap dance? What do you look like (have you got a lot of ink, BA, your "build" etc?)??

Then I will be able to give you a clear-er opinion.

I don't mean to be a bitch but you're coming to Australia, a land where you didn't even know what the map looked like and stripping, a job you've hardly done... and think it's a good idea?

    I worry about your safety.

As far as countries to strip within go, Australia is pretty safe. Plenty of backpackers do it all the time.. come here not knowing where they will end up next... and most of them leave with plenty of great memories (aka "a smile on their face").

Darwin only has one club now - Honey Pot club. It is only worth doing during the dry season otherwise really try to visit Darwin and the surrounds (the national parks, Uluru, etc) as a tourist only as the money in Darwin isn't that crash hot...

Cairns has two strip clubs owned by the same person. No touching is allowed in lap dances or even any contact (there is a distance rule last time I inquired)... and the money is pretty hit/miss.... yet Cairns is a great place to start for scuba diving and other GBR (Great Barrier Reef) stuff.

Townsville is also a great place to do GBR stuff as well as other things... yet only has one small club. So if you aren't accepted to work within that club (which can possibly happen due to it limiting the no. of dancers working) then you are sorry out of luck for money stripping in that town.

Airlie Beach supposedly has a strip club however supposedly (this is all heresay) you have to work at the Mackay strip club (Showbar 140) before you can work Airlie Beach. Thus Mackay has a strip club.. the money is supposedly quite good from all reports. Mackay can be a good work/play stop as the strip club isn't open every day.

Gladstone has a strip club "The Office" located at The Port Curtis Hotel... Gladstone has nothing much really to offer tourism wise.. it is more stuff OUTSIDE Gladstone and "near by" ... yet the club itself is a nice little earner. You have to be comfortable with customers touching you in a lap dance as most opt for touching dances over no-touching.

Then there is SEQ... personally I would advise against working within SEQ strip club wise. From all reports it is the least lucrative part of the whole state of QLD!

Then there is Sydney ... some do well there, other do awful. So up to you whether you will work there or not... Melbourne is always a great place to work and play.

Adelaide has its charms and pretty much the only two clubs worth working are The Palace and Crazy Horse.

Perth? Perth has its strip clubs too however like everything in relation to Perth.. it might as well be the other side of the world as no one really hears or knows much about "the scene" there. The strip clubs are predominately in Perth itself. Outside of Perth there is plenty of "skimpy" work going.... that can be a great way to see the rest of Perth.

There you go. My opinion and my opinion only.

I am not the "be all" of information. We each experience each place differently.

Good plan, dont forget there is other work you can do to tide you over too. if you get to know other travellers youll probably hear all sorts of tips of what to do and where to go.
Internal airfares in Australia are cheap so it will be easy for you to fly all over the place if youre not happy somewhere.
New Zealand, is easy to get to also and its beautiful over there!!!

I really don't agree that SEQ is the least lucrative of Queensland. It's seasonal, sure. But certain clubs in Brisbane and the Coast have a huge turnover of customers most of the year. Your schedule is much more flexible, you can work as much or as little as you want in most places (so long as you give a bit of notice). There are just more girls working down here, and hence competition.

There is definately the capacity to make GREAT money in SEQ.

Most of the clubs in the rest of the state force you to work more than you would like, work from open until close, and do stage ten billion times a night when you could be doing lapdances. A whole lot of hassle if you're on a holiday..

I agree to disagree with ellebelle. SEQ can be lucrative however it is just so much more competitive and the level of BS is higher IMO than other parts of the state and country. Yes it CAN be more flexible however not really in the end (not for "traveling dancers" at least IMO).

    Very true.
Money isnt that good in Perth, but the skimpy work IS a great way to travel around the state :-)

BS? ive never had any here!! its definatly seasonal tho, omg its so quiet right now! but i would always reccommend SEQ to dancers, the money is easy-guys come here for lapdances, and so many groups of guys come up here for bucks parties, and the clubs are very well run.

I've always had a good time in SEQ. I just found private party work more lucrative.

Well I dont now about the WHOLE of SE Qld but certainly the Gold Coast leaves a lot to be desired. Theres Hollywood which can be difficult to get into, the last thing I read about it was that it was full - and arent they fairly strict about what type of look and experience they hire? Players which seem to take any new girl who wants to try stripping and therefore have a ridiculous dancer / customer ratio, plus I havent heard anyone say anything nice about working at that club for a very long time. The Toy Box which from what I hear is nice but dead mostly and Cheerleaders which started off so well and then went to shit... I think thats what GCG is getting at.

Thank you MsQ ... that is what I was getting at...

Well, the Brisbane strip clubs leave a lot to be desired (as such) from all reports I have heard about them. It is "easier" money and everything elsewhere in the state and outside of QLD ... last time I asked about working in Brisbane (wasn't that long ago) I didn't get back a positive report card.

Thus the reason I'm of the opinion that it is best to look elsewhere in QLD and outside of QLD for strip club work. I'm doing fine with my private party work enough here in SEQ that I don't have the desire to re-enter the SC industry in SEQ.
