    Default eblaster?...wtf!

So i see that my bf has requested a free eblaster report... what does that mean? How can i tell if its on my computer? Has anyone got any info on this? Here is what was emailed to him (he left it up, but i wasn't supposed to see it...) wow.

    Hello-

In the past, you requested that a SAMPLE eBlaster report be sent to you. I wanted to make sure that you did in fact receive your FREE eBlaster report.

    ALERT for Parents:
MySpace and Facebook are the most popular social sites for teenagers to hang out at on the Internet. Here they meet new people, send messages to friends, gossip, exchange pictures/videos and a whole lot more. With eBlaster and Spector Pro, these activities are recorded allowing you to ensure that your children are acting responsibly and are safe from Internet threats.

Parents tell us every day of their great concern about the dangers to their children posed by web sites such as MySpace and Facebook, and there are stories in the news almost daily about adults soliciting and meeting children they found online.

Both eBlaster and Spector Pro record ALL of your child's MySpace and Facebook Activity so you will know exactly what he/she is doing. You will see when they update their profile, post pictures, make comments about other users, send messages, invite someone to be a friend, accept an invitation from a new friend, and much more. You will also be able to see whether they have created multiple MySpace and Facebook accounts. You can also view the profiles of people who are contacting your child. So, you'll know if your 13 year old is communicating with a 40 year old who has posted inappropriate pictures of himself or talks about using drugs and alcohol on his profile page.

I went to a site that claims it can detect the program, but it costs to install..and i have $0.

    emm...sounds psycho stalkerish to me.
That software will be a keylogger, if he HAS installed a keylogger on your computer then thats illegal.
Do you have anti-virus software? you should run a scan.
It's a hard one because you weren't supposed to be looking at his email so prob not best to confront him directly.
Maybe start a conversation about trust and see what his reponse is.

What a douche! He put on kelogger on your computer! It's a moot point about the e-mail thing, that program just logged everything you wrote on here. And GPS for the car? Eesh! Just a warning: Don't write ANYTHING else or check your e-mail, go to any websites that require a password until you get rid of this program. Once you get rid of it, change ALL of your passwords.

This has manual instructions to get rid of it.

I just googled "get rid of eblaster". It came up with plenty of results

Wow HB I would be pretty mad! How long have you been with your boyfriend? Generally how is your relationship? Are you/were you having problems? I'm just curious if anything led up to this?

We have been together years.. and its been really rocky. I've never cheated, but he seems to have it in his mind. Prolly b/c HE HAS.
I am going to take down all of my pics until i find out whassup. Virgoamm, that was the site i went to. I hit "remove" and it said i have to pay for the program in order to do anything other than scan. The scan didnt come back with "eblaster".. so does that mean its not there?

Try this. There are many ways to remove it, so I would exhaust every one of them until you find that program and get it the eff off of your computer. This link recommends you download Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy (which are good programs to have anyways and they are FREE) and also gives links on how to remove it manually.

IMO he wants to keep track of you. You also just started dancing, so maybe he's feeling insecure. I don't know how long you've been together, but that's totally unacceptable. Dancers and jealous SOs are not a good mix.

If I were you unless your a computer pro or something I would take your computer to the Circuit City or Best Buy. I heard that key loggers can hide themselves even from Virus Scan/Spyware. Have them clean out your hard drive and re format. If it's your computer put a password on it or get your own
