Default Drug store products good as MAC Smolder eyeliner

*Revlon Luxurious Color Eyeliner in Black Velvet, $7.49

*CoverGirl Perfect Blend Eye Pencil in Basic Black, $4.49

Seriously! I've spent years trying to find cheap eyeliners as good as these.

I'm talking, it's really as good as MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder.

I've always loved the Revlon Eyeliners. The one I use currently is a twist up.....I think its that one?

I've heard the Rimmel Soft Kohl is supposed to be great too but I haven't tried it yet.

Nope, this one is a pencil with a smudge tip on the other end.

Thats the one I used to use. I had it in Black, Charcoal, Brown and Navy. Its a little stiffer/dryer I think than the twist up ones.

Can't wait to try these out....I use my smolder pencil almost every day.

What I would really love is a cheaper MAC Feline kohl power pencil, but that may be pushing it.

Honestly, I can't tell a difference in expensive eyeliners vs. cheap ones.

I love stilla's smudgepots at 24-28 bucks it's cheap considering how big the little pot is.

I've found that the twist-up ones have a more wax-like consistency...the color comes on smooth but just doesn't look as dark, for some reason, and the point becomes rounded, so you get a thicker line.

The good pencils, like the MAC one or the Revlon or CoverGirl ones, have sharper/pointier tips so you can draw a finer line, and the consistency is meltier, making the color richer.

    Just my $0.02

I got that one yesterday in brown, & I loved it. And I figured i'd buy a kohl black one from Loreal too, awesome too. Both glide on easy & you can actually see it more.

To me usually the cheaper ones go on rougher, tugging the eyelid. But after you put it on there isn't much difference when looking at it.

Exactly. The cheap ones also make hard for me to put over shadows, I have to keep gliding that shit to show. lol.
