As I'm writing my paper for my Persuasion class, I came across this little gem.
"People are more readily persuaded by [strippers] that are similar to themselves in some way." The item in [] is my words, not theirs, of course!
I immediately realized that I do this all night.
You've got a limited time to convince them that you share some interest, quality, or fact.
Find something, anything, to show the customer that y'all are the same.
The one I usually use is 'we both like cars!' because I love cars, and most guys love cars too.
It doesn't have to be something truthful, if you're good.
It can be their choice of beverage:
"Is that a vodka tonic? That's my favorite drink! Last week my girlfriends and I got soo drunk off of those... What about you? Where do you think has the best vodka tonic?"
It can be their hometown, whether it's where you are or not.
"You live in Austin too? Don't you love it? I've been here for X years, what about you?"Oh you're from California? That's FAR away *giggle* I love it there. I remember when I was on vacation there once and..."
It can even be something really simple, like:
"You look like you're having a really good time! Are you? Yes? Me too! You're cute, I'm cute, let's go!"
You could use anything, really. Clothing items, haircolor, tattoos, something they did that day or any time, school they went to, things they like...
All of these little convos should last <1 song. I never sit for free for more than 1 song. Don't be afraid to come across as rude- end the talk right at the end of a song and say something to the effect of "ready for our dances?"
