Another home run from my persuasion class.
Praise is one of the most powerful forms of persuasion you can use. People loved to be flattered, even when they know it's fake.
You've heard this before, I know, so let me illustrate.
This is the short version, btw.
A study was done with people doing a "20 questions" type game with a computer. As they played, they could make a contribution to the computer's database. After they made a contribution, the computer would praise them via text in a popup box, like "Your question makes and interesting and useful distinction. Great job!" 1/3 of the people were told the feedback was a true evaluation of their performance (sincere). 1/3 were told that everybody got the same message no matter what (insincere). 1/3 got no such praise in the popup box, just "continue to the next entry."
When they were done with the game, they filled out a survey about the experience.
The results were astounding. There was no difference between the people that were told the computer was sincere and those who were told it was insincere.
Everyone that got praise felt better about themselves, were in a better mood, rated the experience higher, liked the computer more, and thought the computer performed better.
The people that got the standard "continue to the next entry" box rated all these things much lower.
What does that mean for us, as strippers?
It shows that even though guys know we may not be being completely sincere, and may even say so! the praise/flattery still works just as good.
So when you are hustling your customer, compliment him! This technique will likely work better if you are commenting on something ABOUT him, and not necessarily ON him.
For instance, telling him you think he has great taste will work better than telling him you like his shirt.
Things you can praise:
*His intelligence
*His attitude
*His taste
*His looks
I'm sure you can think of more!
So remember, even when he says, "oh, you're just saying that..." don't worry! It worked anyway!
