    medifast?

anyone know anything about medifast? Good, bad, neutral? I asked my Dr. about it and she said it was fine to do once I'm done breastfeeding, but I dont want to spend $$ on something that won't work.

    here's the site link:

I think my friend did this. It works, but it's out the ass expensive for foods you could probably prepare yourself. She didn't stay on it long because she didn't think it was very doable for life.

However, if you just had a kid or you're like me (hate cooking, lazy as hell lol) it would definitely be convienient.

I stick to a 1,200 calorie diet with exchanges. It's pretty simple.

It works. But unless you do the maintenance, you WILL gain the weight back. I only wanted to lose the weight for a short period of time, so I skipped the 9 weeks of maintenance I was supposed to do, and over the next year the weight crept back on.

I love food and sex. Some girls like wine, shopping, cigarettes, drugs...I like meats, breads, and cheeses. So um...yeah. It came back.

I lost 66lbs in 9 weeks on that stuff when I had to whip myself into "$1,000 per hour for incall" shape. I drank nothing but the Cappuccino and Hot Cocoa. No bars, no shakes, no puddings, no lean and green meal, nada!

I will say that....after the 2nd day or so, you will NOT BE HUNGRY. Seriously. Sometimes I had a hard time even drinking 6 out of 8 meals. I was always full and had no appetite. You can't exercise on it for the first month because you will put yourself into a starvation mode. Your gas and breath will smell terrible too, because you'll be in ketosis and consuming a lot of soy protein and vitamins. Medifast clears your skin up very well, too.

I TOTALLY recommend it. TOTALLY. It *does* work. It's easy to lose the weight. But the 4-16 weeks of maintenance are the hard part.

I actually just ordered some more Medifast a few days ago for my summer escort tour

It's not really expensive, compared to the cost of the gym/organic food/time spent cooking and working out/personal trainer/nutritionist. It's less than $400 a month, and sometimes you can get it for under $300 a month if you have a promo code.

If you have any other questions about it just PM me.

awesome thanks for getting back to me on it. I'm going to start weening my daughter in may (i'm breastfeeding part-time now)-so about June I plan on starting it as long as she's fully weened.
