Hell yes
Hell no

Great perspective! I miss your blog Likewow!
Here's mine: I've spent the last TWO DAYS. Literally about 15 hours total preparing supplemental materials for the Dancerwealth workshop I'm teaching in Richmond next week. Its midnight and I'm NOWHERE near done! I can only imagine the hours of planning and preparation Adam put into orchestrating 8 hour lectures. I think he's earned $150 per sale. After all, I make $300 (sometimes $500) for one hour of conversation and champagne. I make a whopping $75 if someone buys it through my website. Whoopee!!!! I'm not doing this because I'm trying to rip anyone off, rather I think it's a beneficial product and I have an deeply en grained mantra of passing on my knowledge to those who want to learn from me.
This thread has been helpful to me because I see where the missing links are. It also forced me to go back and review the course material and I found some new connections that I missed before that I'm really excited to teach next week!
Oh and Likewow, Humans complain much louder than they praise. All the "free" information in HH has appeared over the past few years from DW graduates. I know I posted A TON of stuff in 04-05 that has now become common knowledge by newer members.

Re-posting for truth. Goodness, I used to be moderator for this section for many MANY years (I quit because I didn't want to be tied to SW so much as I wanted a life).
I never said DW HSC was a magic pill. If you are already doing great, then do not buy this course. I only bought it because I did need the help. I didn't know anything of what was taught in the HSC and, in the end, it worked for me.
It isn't the only resource I tell people to use, it is one of many.

This is the perfect example of "you get what you pay for"

^ ha ha! I almost want to spend the $7 to see what they have to say.

This is one of the blogs I read. Fits perfectly with this thread.

I just have to say that I thought dancer wealth was worth it. It's not magic but I definitely earned back my $300.
Also, you can't just listen and make more. You have to practice, practice, practice the tips.

Oh, my god, I couldn't help myself and I bought it, and it's so hilarious. It's 28 pages (in 28 pt type!) and the first ten are basically the list of rules any club would have.
There was another dancer-written book that was soooo awful; it totally was a guide to how to lie to customers and make them think you want to date them.

Here's the one that gives aweful advice on their myspace blog. When I commented that I disagreed with their philosophy and why, they removed my comment
I don't think $20 is too much, one lapdance....
Rebecca Avalon

Yeah, I agree. I did learn a few new things, but when I started buying sales books I found that most of the knowlege in DW was gleaned from The Physcology of Selling by Brian Tracy.
Did it pay itself off? Sure. The networking was also a great experience. Its a great tool if you lack confidence & experience.
But you can spend much less on sales books. But i wont knock Adam though, he saw a market and tapped it--that guy could sell shit on a shingle. I still listen to the cds occasionally. It did help out alot of dancers improve thier sales.
If I put that course together, I would give detailed info on the business side of dancing; money management, taxes ect. Hell, I'd throw some sales role plays in there too!
Ultimately, you need mass appeal to be sucessful career in dancing, but sales skills helps you prospect much better. Theres a certain element that cant really be taught; basic animalistic sex appeal. You have it or you dont.
You just have to reading and learning...DW is one resource or complation of many resources.
I'm getting my Dial-A-Stripper service up and running again. If you are in NYC or NJ and are interested in private party dancing, email [email protected] with your SW handle, contact info, photo (if you have one) & best time to call and I'll get back to you asap.
If you're having a party and need strippers, email me with the details and any questions you have. Thanks!

were you a fly on the wall at my Richmond Dancerwealth workshop??
Rebecca Avalon

No, lol. I went to Vegas. Adam's biz partner wasnt there, though. So I kinda feel like I didnt get the super stripper perspective, lol.
Why? Did you add detail money management stuff and role plays? Kudos if you did--i think that course needs it.
I've been trying to start a money management group for strippers and escorts, but everyone is too suspicious/flaky to join.

Akasha (and anyone else)
What do you think they are suspicious of?
What type of authority would a person/group have to have to calm those suspicions?
Would you be willing to pay a small monthly fee (10-20/month) to join an online group that would meet via for weekly webinars?
Ya'll can see where I'm going with this....can't ya?

I didn't vote in the poll since I have never taken or read Dancer Wealth.
I did attend the Exotic Dance MBA that Brittney Ireland taught in Richmond. The info on that course was from DW. With just the little I got from it I'd say it would definately be worth it. I've already seen an increase in just three days of work.
On Friday I was sooo sick at work (sinus infection) I just barley made it thru my shift. But I was doing something I've never done before. I was looking around the room and seeing guys that I knew I could get dances from! Unfortunately, I could barely speak so I just did my stage sets. But the thought that I knew I could get them is awesome! My whole perspective has changed. I can't wait to get rid of this cold and back to work!

I'm curious about this too. Yesterday while it was slow I caught up with a friend that's been dancing as long as I have. She's in a financial mess and scared. She's made far more more money that I have since she worked many more shifts. I asked her about another dancer I hadn't seen in a while, wondering what she'd moved on to. She's in jail, one too many DWI's. Both of these dancers were top earners, working 5 nights a week. The one in jail was gorgeous, never had to ask for dances, always had a ring of guys tipping around her stage. I felt so sick and sad after talking with my friend. I remember over the years the three of us having the "What are we going to do when we can't dance anymore?" conversation. I got aggressive about figuring it out, they didn't. I wonder what could have made a difference to them. I wonder what could be said to dancers heading toward the same fate right now.
Britney, I glad you care so much about this issue, and are working hard to promote a change...

After taking the DW home study course, my average went up $20/hour immediately and it's still slowly but steadily on the rise as I practice and perfect his tips.

Thanks for sharing Shakti. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make her drink.
Personally, I think mastering persuasion skills is a HUGE accomplishment for dancers. Most don't realize how it can transcend into other sales related jobs. I got my car for $8000 under invoice by employing simple negotiation strategies I first learned at DW, and perfected at Christie's Cabaret.
Major Changes coming
After speaking with Adam extensively yesterday, he mentioned that EVERYONE who bought a homestudy course was offered 3 teleconference calls. Despite the offer, many purchasers opted to not use them. So if you bought a home study course, and didn't use your conference call....I will be doing it with Adam this Sunday May 11th at 1pm Pacific Time. I have no idea how the technology of it all works...so contact [email protected] if you would like to attend.

The book is called 'The Secret'. 'The Law of Attration' by Rhonda Byrne. I was given the book as a birthday gift by my mentor stripper. I've read the book, reread the book, read it again and have now passed it on to another. It's all about positive thinking. To be perfectly honest, spending $25 to read a book on the law of attraction did 10 times more for my money than any sales book

Britney,
Im not sure what the issue was. I was trying to do something live; Id rather meet with people in person.
Many of dancers I spoke to were very offended at the idea that I might somehow be indicating that theyre stupid, irresponsible ect.
The reality is though, that many dancers DONT manage thier money or even have bank accounts! They throw the money in a drawer and dont have the rent at the end of the month. Dont get me wrong, i myself was doing that after dancing for a while and its a hard way to live. Before dancing, i was very good with my money. Then again, college debt is what really messed me up and was led me to dancing. it can be difficult to manage erratic income--esp all cash.
Anyhow, I started buying money managment books and got myself out the bad habits. I thought it would be a good idea to start a money club.
Im gonna try again though...I need to stay busy--keeps me sane.

meeting in person requires travel. I've found great support via online webinars with fellow traders (when I was learning how to trade the stock market) chat rooms (here on SW) and currently with my networking business.
Most of us that are interesting in this topic have internet access, a telephone, and are more likely to join if they don't have to leave their living room.

I just started the Dancer Wealth home study course. I think as you listen to it, light bulbs start going off in your mind about what you need to work on. You start looking at your job differently, and if you're motivated, you start implementing what you're learning. So it is a process that I'm finding very valuable. I just went to the teleconference Britney mentioned above and thought it was EXTREMELY helpful. So to answer the OP's question: Yes, I think DancerWealth is worth the money.
^ what's the purpose of the teleconference?
I think they have them once a month, and they're to supplement what you're learning from the course. In this one they talked about sales mastery. Then there was a half-hour for questions (which really became an hour). That way you don't just have to learn in a vacuum, but are able to ask questions of Adam/Avalon (who led the seminar) and hear fellow dancers' questions.
I did the buy-one-get-one-free deal on the home study course with a fellow dancer and both of us got 3 free teleconferences.
QFT. A lot of the reason that "everything is already in Hustle Hut" is that so many members have taken DW and posted the best tips here. A lot of the stuff that is seemingly common knowledge around here now wasn't necessarily common knowledge four or five years ago.
I'm glad to hear there are going to be updates, though, because I think that's a big part of what people are complaining about right now. It seems like the course hasn't evolved lately, and it really needs to. Basic rules of negotiation and persuasion are great, but there's a lot of room to expand into stripping-specific areas, and Britney is a great person to do it. So yay!
I took the DW course and am one of the ones who didn't follow up with it or practice at all, so I can't say whether it would have helped me or not. I tried some of the techniques for a few weeks, but most of them never felt quite natural to me.

shrug, i got the most useful info out of posts from 2003-4, which for the most part predates DW. YMMV. and many posters with excellent tips after that timeframe never took DW. i mean 'always be closing' is not from DW, though it is a classic sales meme.
like most sales stuff, it is of limited utility, but if you are within the limits it's aiming for, you'll probably find it to have a lot of utility.
