Awww I love finding old books like that . I remember both series but I didn't read either. I was a V.C. Andrews and R.L. Stine fan! Don't feel guilty for re-reading them. I just re-read Flowers in the Attic a couple months ago hehe.

It always seemed like she had lots of homemade jewelry and beads so I bought this massive jewelry making kit when I was about 8. Pony beads, wire hooks, and all sorts of crap can still be found to this day occasionally around my parents house no matter how much they clean. Numerous people had to suffer with a random wire hook that their foot found in the carpet for my creativity.

I read the American Girl books a lot too but SVH was like my dirty romance novel. I loved Sweet Valley Saga back then too.

I have every single one of VC Andrews books, I collect them.

I actually liked both BSC and SVH. But I voted SVH because I liked them a bit more.

^^ LOL 19. That's awesome, PB. I was I think 11 when the BSC came out and I loved them and read them until probably 16. I wasn't allowed to read SWH much, because of the religious mom, but I snuck them.

Did anyone read those Taffy Sinclair books too?

With V.C. Andrews books I always liked to cheat and read the last book in the series first because the last book was always a prelude to all the other books.

I always had my nose in a book when I was kid...even if some of them were total fluff at least I was reading hehe.

Haha that's funny!! that stuff never goes away. i did the same thing, I'd make my mom jewelry and keychains from pony beads and be like "here mom wear them to work! and if your friends want some too they can buy them from me!" omg were they ever ugly!

Talk about a blast from the past! My goodness, I spent many lazy days poring through them. My favorite was Claudia!

I read both, though I didn't read SVH until I was a bit older. I loved BSC, though - I watched the movie everyday for a year, haha. I'm sure I read every BSC there was.

I liked them both. I read all of the books for SVH and BSC, watched the shows and had the games. I wanted to be Elizabeth Wakefield sooo bad!

Omg this chick is funny! I was reading these blogs and all of the plot lines came rushing back to me.
There was some other series I used to read. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, though. All I know is that there were four girls who were friends and one of them was rich, named stephanie, and only wore black, red and white. Anybody know which one that is?

I found it, it's the Sleepover Friends! http://thedairiburger.wordpress.com/...te-colors-too/

Yup, I read those, and I also read all the BSC and SVH books. I voted for SVH though because I liked those more.

Although when I think about it, the SVH books were so unrealistic. No one at their high school was having sex, and at all the parties they went to, there was no mention of alcohol, just soda. Gimme a break! LOL
