I think this is something that varies from person to person. My husband had his removed when he was 17 and went back to school the next day. I had mine removed when I was about 20 and was sick for almost two weeks. I had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and my mouth swelled up so bad I couldn't chew anything for about 5 days.

Well most people I know got put under but maybe for some people they don't. I think a big part of why I was so miserable was because all the throwing up from my bad reaction to the anesthesia. I couldn't hold down any food for several days. It got so bad they had to give me a suppository so my stomach would settle! However keep in mind that for some people its a piece of cake. Like I said my hubby was eating a chili dog the next day ha! I hope things go well for you

I had mine taken out and was only given a local. Dont know why but only 1 was taken at a time. No biggie. I was fine the next day. I mean I was a little sore and on painkillers but I wasnt in pain and I wasnt sick.
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth impacted AND 2 of those were wrapped around the jaw bone!!
I had my teeth surgically removed (for obvious reasons) and it was great! I did get dry socket in one of them, but other than that, I didn't need my pain meds...I did the hot/cold alternating compresses for 3 days and I had no swelling, no other problems and could eat solid food about a week after my extraction.
The dry socket was definitely not fun, though. But, I wasn't sick and since I didn't take the pain meds for more than a day (due to the dry socket) I didn't have any other side effects.
How are you going to have your teeth extracted? Manual (dental office) or Surgical (out-patient surgical center)?

I'm scared too because I need 3 pulled, one of them is like sideways against my teeth
You should be fine though.
I found the top way easier than the bottom. Plus the bottom teeth run extremely close to a nerve and there is always a possibility of long term or permanent damage. I lost feeling in my lip and chin for like 5 weeks. They also had to cut a hold the size of a trailer to get one out - they had to cut it up still in my mouth and stuff. The top is a good thing.
Tell them that you are a big baby, that you're terrified and you want everything. I lost the both surgeries. When I had the bottom done, I lost about 18 hours around it. (which considering the amount of time it took to get one tooth, good thing). As well, I found that I had to really anticipate the pain. If I didn't my jaw, my sinuses, my head, everything would start hurting really bad. But if I took a pill every four hours, I could function just fine.
In terms of cracking the jaw - my dentist has big huge hand, and I actually have a little teeny mouth - he routinely "rips" the sides of my mouth but he's never cracked my jaw (except when he was cutting teeth out of it). Find a girl dentist with little hands. (I miss my much hotter female dentist).
I have taught that the sky in all its zones is mortal and its substance was formed by a process of birth
My doctor actually used ketamine and versed on me in the office but I had two impactions along with the two that needed to be pulled. I was knocked out and didn't remember shit. I left his office with a ice pack around my face, a script for percocet and phernergen. I hate the way percocet and phernergen knock me out so I only took it the first day to manage the worst pain. I took Ibuprofen after that to help with the swelling and pain. Just keep your mouth clean and eat soft foods or a liquid diet and you should be fine. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.
