What do you think of a guy providing massages for you the dancers? I know that you all work hard to stay in shape and work those shifts. I'm considering switching to becoming a massage therapist and I think that you all deserve a little pampering.![]()

There was a massage therapist at the club I 'grew up' in. He was awesome and very professional which i think is extremely important. He was married to a dancer before he started working with dancers so he knew the industry well.
Often we fight guys hands off all night and the thought of paying for another guys hands is a total turn off, so if there was any hint of anything untowards be prepared for a brand new asshole.

I never knew of a customer giving girls massages and not getting something out of it himself. Always girls charge for the time, and I never accepted a massage for less than $100 because it creeps me out. I like to be in charge of any touching. And even then it's limited.

The guy in my club was not a customer. He was set up in the DR and charged $20 an hour. I don't ever let custies massage me. Ick.

I wouldnt get massages at work from a man,its creepy.
We have massage girls that get 20 a song, thats the way it should be in a stripclub. You know the only reason you want to do something like that is because you r a hornytoad.![]()

He was incredible, it was mostly relax but he'd do some therapeutic work as well, depending on what you needed. He was really gifted at 'reading' people and was good with nutrition and fitness advice, also some physio. It was $20 for half an hour (Sorry, my mistake) and it was 5 years ago. He did great business and was booked out all night mostly (huge club with 100++ girls on a thurs, fri, sat) so it was worth his while to make it affordable to us. He charged more at his 'day job' with regular customers.
As for your 'magic fingers' HB, don't take it personally but I have a huge personal space and magic or no, I don't want custies fingers anywhere near me.
XXXS
i love massages at work, from custies, as long as they are good at it and stick to the back and not trying to grope anywhere else.
Thank you for your reply. I
I am in total agreement of how you feel about having customers touching you while you dance. I was trying to get a feel how you feel about massages. It sounds like as long as it is professional then its nice. My vision is to provide a place to where you can come and for an hour just relax away from your work.
Would that be a better more relaxing atmosphere instead of the DR?
Are you planning on advertising "massages for dancers" or something of the sort? Honestly, I would not answer an ad like that. I would assume the therapist just wanted to touch hot nude girls all day long for money and I'd be creeped out. Even if he didn't do anything inappropriate, the idea would bother me. My $.02.
I get massages from the other girls, or really trust-worthy customers. If I was going to pay for it, I probably wouldn't do it. And I'm definitely not taking an hour out of my work time to get a massage - that's not cost effective.

There is a Bay Area massage therapist who does specialized advertising mentioning that he is skilled at working with movement artists . People such as Yoga Instructors, althletes , dancers ect. are drawn to his advertising , I'm sure.
Getting a massage in a strip club is a concept that probably won't work. A massage environment ( relaxing , soothing , quiet ) is completely different than the club environment ( stimulating , loud ).
I've been offered massages in a club. (Therapeutic, I'm talking about.) Nah. I can do that for cheaper somewhere else. But I talked to one lady who offered, and she said she did pretty well at it between the dancers and customers. So there seems to be a market somewhere.
I've massaged a very few dancers' shoulders, backs, or feet before, always at their offer. I just figured it was part of their client cultivation to allow me "close." I never paid for it, nor would I - not much into feet, but I can tell muscle tensions and spasms and know where trigger points are. And they said they liked it and it helped. (You know..... all a part of client cultivation.)
I've got that big personal space, too. I can completely see where you're coming from, Scarlet. I give up the personal space in clubs, though. Somehow, that's been OK.
Here's the skinny on massage my friend (based on my personal experience). I just got my license in May of this year and worked at a salon. I made NO MONEY for the three months I was at the salon and felt like I was being pimped by the owners (actually I was with no chance for booth/space rent). So if you are serious about getting in the profession KEEP YOUR DAY JOB and do it part time until you build a clientele. You may also want to broaden your target market.

I would get massages OTC. When I'm at work and think of relaxation, it does not include men touching me, even a professional.
There is a guy at one of the clubs that I work at that brings in a massage table and does apts. for the girls. I actually really like him, he is a great masseuse, and everyone feels comfortable around him.
Someone who regularly deals with dancers might have some idea of where you need the most work - the one time I got a massage the guy apparently mostly dealt with ballet dancers (who I imagine needs to be massaged constantly) and it certainly gave him expertise in ballet dancers. I could imagine it could be the same with us. But I appreciate the perv factor of walking into a club and saying "massages, ladies, get your massages here."

I wouldn't do it. Even if you were a world famous massage therapist and offered your services for free, it just creeps me out. I've never had a real massage, but I'm planning on getting one sometimes soon and I'll only go to a girl. Maybe I'm just weird?
There are these 2 guys that come in the club regularly and sit at the same damn table and give the girls massages and try to sell jewelry and gemstones. It's fucking creepy. They never buy dances or tip any of the girls, but they do get a couple of girls over there or a while to talk to them. I think my least favorite thing on Earth is creepy guys.. except for maybe cockroaches.

I love massages, The only thing is if you're going to massage me at the club I want to be paid for it. i get massages from paying custies on semi regular basis, and while I do like it, I'm still at work, therefore my time is valuable. Now OTC, I pay for massages, but never with a man.
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Apparently our club had/has a masseuse. Haven't seen them yet though.

My old club had a massuse who would come in on weekends with her massage chair (like the guys @ the mall who offer massages) and charge a dollar a minute. It was nice to take a 5-10 minute break to loosen up some tense muscles.
On the other hand (sexist and judgemental as it may be), I would not have felt comfortable if it was a guy who I knew ONLY worked on exotic dancers.
