Default 90's and early 2000's alternative rock

I've been downloading some of the 90's and early 2000's alternative rock music, like "World I know" by Collective Soul, "The Freshman" by Verve Pipe, "Crash into me" by Dave Matthews band and "Buddy Holly" by Weezer. Anybody have any other suggestions similiar to these?

Awwwww *8th/9th grade memories flooding back...* umm, Ben Folds Five stuff?? (brick always makes me cryyyyyyy)

here's the 2000 countdown to top 100 songs from my fav. radio back home... might trigger some more memories.

    and the 99 countdown:

now, those aren't ALL alt. rock, but much is... some is techno, some is harder, but it'll definitely give you a good start.

I went to the radio station website and looked at their mid 90's archives. I now have all that great, old stuff:p

Here's what I came up with for a playlist:

    Verve Pipe - "The Freshman"
    Weezer - "Buddy Holly"
Dave Matthews Band - "Crash Into Me"
    Stone Temple Pilots - "Vaseline"
    Bush - "Glycerine"
    Nirvana - "Lithium"
    Bush - "Machine Head"
Bush - "I Don't Want to Come Back Down from this Cloud"
    Bush - "Wild Horses"
    REM - "Everybody Hurts"
Collective Soul - "The World I Know"
    The Verve - "Bittersweet Symphony"
Smashmouth - "Walking on the Sun"
Aerosmith - "Fly Away from Here"
Billie Myers - "Kiss The Rain"

I listen to yahoo radio when I get nostalgic for 90's music. They have a 90's rock station. It takes me back to Jr. High all over again LOL! Don't forget about the band Sponge. They had some cool songs.

The 90s rocks my socks off. I recently went on a download spree and I check out amazon.com for those mix cd's like 'totally hits' and 'now that's what i call music'. The actual CDs are always edited, since lots of kids buy them, but they're great for inspiration, and a trip down memory lane.

Definately some good stuff here, but a bit too mainstream for me. How about some truly alternative 90's:
