So this girl B was DRUNK last night, and I'm not talking about a little bit tipsy, either. Apparently, she went on-stage to do a showtime for this girl's birthday, and this girl started talking shit on her. Okay, I can actually see that happening--the girl is one of three sugarbabies on this playboy-wannabe's entourage, so I can see her trying to shit-talk. This apparently pissed off B, and then B had to go up to her last set.
I hear the DJ call the manager to the DJ booth, but the manager either didn't hear or ignored it. When I walked by the DJ booth, B was HITTING the DJ on the arm and shoulders and screaming at him to play "Bette Davis Eyes". So *I* went over and told the manager to go and take care of it, since he wasn't even aware of what was going on.
B was the last dancer on stage, so as soon as she got off, DJ called ALL dancers to the DR. I was already dressed and ready to go by this time, but I dutifully went to the DR. B was screaming at the manager, cussing him out, etc. Her friend A was trying to push her back, because B was about to hit the manager, and B ended up throwing A to the ground. Manager called the owner and said, "I don't want this girl working here ever again," and the owner apparently agreed. B starts screaming how manager is lying about her, so owner asks to talk to B, and manager hands over the phone. B ends up screaming at the owner, owner says she's fired, and then manager tells B to gather up her things and don't come back.
A runs back into the DR after following out the manager, saying, "B, get your things and get out of here quick. Manager called the cops." Since everyone else seemed to be distracted, me and new dancer decided to high-tail it out of there while nobody was paying attention. In the parking lot, I was B (who had already gotten in her car) getting out of her car and threatening to key the manager's NEW Ford Saleen Mustang (a VERY nice car).
The entire time A was making excuses for B's behavior. "She didn't start a fight with the customer. She walked away when the girl started talking shit on her. She really showed a lot of self-control. She doesn't usually get like this. She's just not feeling good. She just had too much to drink." Whatever.
I don't normally drink at work. When I do, I have one or two the whole night. I don't have a problem at ALL with the girls who like to be a little bit buzzed when they're working--that's fine. But when a girl is slobbering drunk and VIOLENT, I think she needs to go. Frankly, she should've been cut off long before she got to that point, but I just hope that "fired" doesn't mean "not allowed to work until you apologize". And if she goes, her friend A has promised to go with her. I don't have a problem with A, but she is an alcoholic, and she's been somewhat confrontational and bitchy when she's been drunk (which happens probably 75% of the time she works), so I wouldn't exactly be sad to see her go.
Man, it was a crazy night last night.
