    Default at home lash extensions

don't be tempted. they're shit. well I thought so anyway. Ardell makes this little eyelash extension kit now. I picked it up at the drugstore for !4$ and they are really hard to apply on yourself, for me anyway and they came out when I washed my face. they were supposed to last for 3 weeks at least, but nope, not at all. has anyone had good experience with the salon ones? they are so expensive, but I'm tempted. i have this really weird theory that 90% of the wrinkling of the skin around my eyes is from removing eye make-up, esp. mascara, so I try to only wear falsies, but I wold like to have them always there.

HA! I have this theory too! And I worry about it a lot... Every time I use tissue to wipe the mascara off from under my eyes, I feel like I'm pulling/irritating my skin!

I'll be very curious to see if anyone has lash recommendations. I was just looking for good falsies! (Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add...)

I've had lash extensions, and they deffinitely don't last 3 weeks. Maybe 2, but by 3 you might have only one or two left on each eye. However, they usually touch up (which means totally redo) the lashes about once a month for 3 months and then they make you buy a whole other set. It did look very very nice, and I'd do it again for a special occassion, but not as a regular thing bc it took a lot of my real lashes out... I had 'em for about 5-6 months.

I had lash extensions. I think they're a waste of money. They are so time-consuming and expensive. If you put mascara on them they fuck up. So they're good for more of a "natural" look.

^^I agree. I had them done....$150 + TIP....and they were GONE after 4 fucking days, thats with no mascara. Ugh.

ETA: I think its more convenient and cheaper just to buy the $3 lashes when you go out or when you work.

How long did you wait until you washed your face? Try waiting hours or even a day before you wash your eyes. First, before applying false eyelashes, wash your face...then wash your eyelashes with regular soap (be careful not to get it in your eyes obviously) Make sure lashes are completely dry. Put a drop of the glue on tinfoil or something and dip the tip of the false lash in it. Swipe across the lash you want to stick it to like 3 times and then press firmly into the lash where it meets the skin. You have to make sure all oil residue is off the lashes first because they will come off very easily.
