Default Quick breakfasts/lunches that are diet friendly?

So, I've been feeling really good...till I stepped on the scale and realized I gained a full 20 lbs.

Which was enough to scare the life out of me, and get back hardcore into diet/exercise.

The problem is, I work in the corporate world, so I need ideas for quick, easy, filling breakfasts/lunches. The mall food court is right next to my office building, so that's where I've been going for lunch, which I'm sure hasn't helped my pudge.

What's a quick/filling breakfast? I normally only have about 5 minutes to prepare either meal, so any help would be appreciated.

A low-carb meal replacement for breakfast... right now i love Ultramet (it has fat burners, whey, & glutamine) and for lunch, you can always find a grilled chicken salad w/no dressing & extra veggies in the food court. But i feel you..its frustrating as hell! Preparation is the key though.. and remember to pack small snacks like cottage cheese w/fruit, or string cheese w/an apple, or a yogurt like activia. Stay strong..the food court is an evil, hateful monster that calls out to me "buy the damn pretzels already...and don't forget the cheese"

When I'm in a hurry to get to class (which is always,) I have a bowl of Kashi cereal with soymilk for breakfast. It takes 5 minutes to pour and eat. That stuff seriously fills me up and I'm not hungry until I have time for lunch or a snack. Usually I will have a piece of fruit or some veggies with it depending on my mood.

For lunch I love hummus and pita bread with veggies. I put the hummus in little containers before my week starts that way I can grab it and go. I have fruit too and maybe a can of tuna if I'm feeling fishy.

I always eat some fruit (usually a green apple and then some melon). Then later I have a slice of Ezekial Bread (sprouted grains!) with some Tofutti 'better than cream cheese'. Very quick and all I ever need is a toaster and a knife!

Breakfast for me is always a snack size (approx. 3/4 c. ) ziploc bag filled with usually strawberry cheerios or another cereal that I eat while I drive.

Midmorning snack is a Larabar. I cannot fucking rave about these things enough. They are completely raw food and the ingredients are plain and simple. The apply pie bar tastes amazing and the ingredients just read dates, apple, cinnamon, walnuts, raisins, almonds. No preservatives, no funky stuff. I get mine at Trader Joe's and I'd assume at least Whole foods would have them. They are desert worthy too. The Jocolat ones taste just like a gooey fudgey brownie. Fuck Slim Fast, choose these.

Lunch I take one of these boxes. http://www.fit-fresh.com/products/tr...nchonthego.php
You can find them at Target and some Walmarts. The night before I wash and cut up veggies for the two top compartments. Sometimes I'll do this the morning of if I know they'll get funky but it doesn't take long. Bottom container gets something with carbs/protein like a sammich or hummus/pita. Usually I'll toss in a few mini- whole grain Fig Newtons for fun.

I have a fruit smoothie for breakfast made from just berries and soy milk. Takes 30 seconds to make and is really healthy.

Protein shake. I take an empty bottle, water and the powder to work with me. You can buy a large lunchbox "bag" and get some icepacks. Cook healthy meals prior and store them in individual containers. In the am grab a few and off you go! As someone else mentioned hard boiled eggs are a good thing too because you can make so many at one time. I eat the whites, and throw away the yolk it's soo easy to seperate when they're cooked!
