    Default my tooth hurts

eeeek. I'm freaking out about one of my front teeth. I woke up this morning and it hurts. It's never hurt before, and it literally just started when I woke up this morning.
The weird thing is, it only hurts when I press my tongue on it from the front, not from the back. Could it be that my tongue or bottom teeth were pressing on it while I was asleep and that's why it's sore? Argh, please tell me it's not something serious and my tooth isn't going to fall out. *panics*

Blargh. I'm so paranoid about my teeth. Losing a tooth is seriously one of my worst fears. I need to go to the dentist for a cleaning anyway...but I've been putting it off because the last time I made an appointment, I came down with the flu and re-scheduled it on the morning of the appt...and then when the re-scheduled appointment came, I was feeling even more sick and I slept right through it--didn't call to cancel or anything. So now I'm afraid to make another appointment; I figure they're going to chew me out or refuse to see me.

Maybe you grind your teeth in your sleep. I do the same thing but my jaw isn't properly aligned so my front teeth don't touch the bottom ones by like a quarter of an inch. Just the back guys do the suffering.

I'd give it a few hours before I got too worried about it. Maybe if you continue having problems visit your dentist and let him determine what the problem is. If you are grinding your teeth he can get a you a custom fit guard to wear at night.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

That might be it...grinding...especially since I have to sleep propped up in a weird position since the surgery. It feels a little better now, hours later. *whew*

I guess I'm going to have to suck it up and call the dentist that I accidentally stood up, b/c I do need a cleaning badly. I'll ask about the grinding thing too.

Did you ever wear braces or a retainer? It could be your teeth shifting.
