My dad has this really sweet and totally affectionate lap kitty named Buddy that he just doesn't have time for. He feels that leaving the cat home for as long as he does is cruel because Buddy is such a social little guy. My dad would have to give him back to the pound if he can't find a good human to take care of him. I imagine that means he'd have to be put down because the area he lives in is very rural and is overpopulated by cats. So I made him promise me that he wouldn't take him on the condition I would try really hard to find a place for Buddy to stay.
I've got two very jealous Siamese cats in a small apartment already so I can't really keep him. Plus after these guys go I really don't want anymore animals because I think I'll be wanting to travel more often and for longer periods of time when that time comes.
I think Buddy should have a stable person who is willing to take on this responsibility for the rest of Buddy's life. I would like him to be in a NON SMOKING household and there can't be any dogs. He needs a homebody type of human, or at least one who doesn't travel that much.
He's healthy except for needing a very inexpensive cortisone shot every few weeks. I'm not sure why. I think it's allergies to something. He stays indoors and I guess he likes to climb Christmas trees. lol
Please respond or PM me if interested. I'm in the western NY area...
