    Angry Copy Cats?

And here is another question..... I usually wear my favorite black outfit while I'm at work. (I put it together myself) Now there are 5 other dancers who've gone out and purchased the EXACT SAME OUTFIT AND COLOR! When they come to work and see me in it, they STILL wear their versions of my outfit, the same night, at the same club & at the same time (even AFTER they just walked in seeing me in it!)! I feel like I have 5 clones running around! Not to mention one dancer in specific went and bought a hair weave that looks like my hair (same color & style) and started wearing green eyeshadow I wear (no one else was wearing green in my small club) and dances to the exact same stage music I bring in. I work in a very small club, and originality is soooo hard to maintain these days with all these impostures! Ahhhh! Do they not understand or CARE to come up with their OWN styles????? I feel that if I take the time to piece together/purchase my outfits(usually homemade so I can have my own look), get creative with my makeup (I purposely wear colors others aren't) and take the time to buy/download music (purposely pick unpopular non released singles), then I deserve to have my own individual look. I swear I feel like these specific girls are from the movie single white female! Ladies how do you feel about that?????

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Yeah it sucks that these girls copy you but what can you do. Get a real short bleached blonde wig, wear it at work, tell the girls you cut your hair like that, if they show up with your haircut, take off your wig. Never done that but I always thought it'd be funny.

If youre downloading and bringing original music why the hell is the dj playing it for others. Thats bs.

My club has had it's full with trends.

There was one girl who heard her competion/club rival was getting a ba soo she rushed to shedule hers 1st mind you there was a time where most girl after that had them and it was the big talk among the girls when they were going to get thiers ect..ect. It was like the whole club was alittle boob obessed at that time.

Then there is this 1 girl who stands out for her style among us cuz she wears those fur boots, has a jane of the gothic jungle type of look with her underlayer blonde extenstions and her back piercings and the animal print going on--however she's real touchy about any1 else buying the boots in our club (which is silly) furry boots is not going 2 make a girl look like her twin and it's something that just is popular now among strippers. Not that I want to wear them or cuz I don't get how she feel when newbies ask her where she got them--it's just she doesn't have a copyright on it in my book as she thinks she does in her mind.

There was another couple of weeks every click went together and got peirced either monreo or right side underthier lip or glowing tongue rings--which I found funny that now all of a sudden they all piared up to get matching peircings to be more alterative strippers however whatever I'm still the only with my spetum and snakebites none of which I ever wear to work there anymore becuz most of our customers can't deal with more hardcore piercings but I did put back in my libret to add of the 3 that never come out.

I hate when the DJ switched up a dancers songs and give it to another just becuz it messes with my concept of who's on stage and where we are in the rotation(since we are a small club and there really is no need to swap songs as most girls have different taste anyways). I also when I personally bring in something hott new and hard to find it when it gets played for another girl (which happens every time I bring in R&B as I guess he thinks I'm 2 white 2 use it and always gives it to the darker mixed girls among us) --but I let it slide becuz he's been good 2 me by hooking me up with new music he finds and knows I'll like plus I pretty much have dibs on what I dance to.

As for outfits I have way different taste, but when I wear something that catches on and the other girls get/wear I str8up tell every1 I don't care becuz none of them are going 2 look like me in it--which is true but kinda of mean for me to rub in however I don't feel bad about it if they dare wearing it once I have it on as I'm always the 1st nite girl there to get ready, but if I wasn't and it was just a matter of commonatlity I would pick something else out of respect and that I have alot of outfits to choice from.

My two BFFs at the club once were rivals, but just had such simulat taste that they always fought about who was copying who--however when they became friends due to me they realised when tehy went shopping 2gether tehy always picked the same shit so I could them DR EVil and Mini Me as 1 was a smaller version of teh other in my book.

Hehe! This has happened to me a few times. Funny though, it's always been the girls who are my haters. Not just in stripping, but at other jobs in the past too.
My biggest hater at my club right now, who claims to think I am the "stupidest bitch in the world" and claims to hate my guts came in with my exact hair color and cut a few weeks ago. I mean the exact same. I've even had a few customers ask if we were sisters/twins when she'd walk by the table!! So obvious what's going on there, huh?
Until then, I was the only redhead on staff, and got alot of attention for it. Curious to see how many more pop up in the coming weeks.

Eh. Just take it as flattery and be above it.

Sounds like you've got a bit of a toxic work environment going on what with the clones and throat-cutters.

Maybe find a new place for a while?

from rant number 2 posted, the one girl that is blonde (like me) bought an outfit almost identical to the one I wore yesterday (not the same though b/c it's an old one that I haven't seen round for awhile) and her hair and makeup the same. I giggled to myself.

Oh this happened to me, also, but with my bangs. I was the only girl with bangs for a LONG time and then BAM everybody came in with them.
It's frusterating, but there isnt a whole lot you can do besides find an outfit that is not something they can easily duplicate.

Yep I am dealing with that right now and having a really hard time coping. Its the outfits the pole tricks the eye shadow the hair. Most of all the little sexy things I do on stage all taken. I am answering you in hopes it will make me feel better. I am taking a break from work and going to a new club for a couple weeks. During which I am changing what I wear and maybe even my hairstyle. Maybe even lose a couple pounds. Unfortunatly some girls are just envious and wish they were you. Its because you have looks and personality they will never ever have. No matter how much they try to copy you or be like you or laugh like you. They will always be an IMITATION. What tastes better fresh crab meat or imitation crab made w egg whites or whatever they make it with??!?!! See now I feel better. Lots of Love ~

imitation crab meat is made out of other kinds of fish. whitefish or pike, usually.

girls at work copy some of my moves and pole tricks, but none of them have ever tried to copy my look. then again, at my club i don't necessarily have the most bankable look of all of the girls i work with. pale, tattooed, tall, and redheaded with a septum ring, either tan and blonde girls or big bootied ethnic girls tend to do a little better than me, but i definitely do well for myself.
