Lots of good dark greens and small bits of meat.

do hedgies get along with dogs?
I have a big dog but he's really gentle with this small pug puppy he plays with.

I'm wondering about getting another animal, not a dog, who he can interact with a little bit.

As I recall from when my wife was breeding them, they especially like the freeze-dried worms listed on that site.

I wouldn't expect to see a lot of interaction. Anytime our dogs got near a hedgie, the hedgie rolls into a ball, showing nothing but quills.

But they don't SHOOT quills like a porcupine. They stay attached.

No i dont have a hedgie. But there are wild hedgies around here that live in gardens. I saw one the other day and its sooooo cute!!! I sat near it and it turned into a ball and peeked at me. I wanted to leave out veggies or fruit for them once in a while

OK. That was a poor choice of words. But I do believe that the quills are released by the porcupine when a predator is stuck by them. Whereas the hedgehog's usually stay attached to the animal.
