Anyone have love songs that aren't really the typical slow boring way? Thanks.

Closer by NIN immediately comes to mind followed in quick sucession by Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge. Love Like Winter by AFI from my understanding was written as a sort of love song, if a little cold and cruel. I've always counted Rio by Duran Duran to be a fun semi-stalkerish love song and according to my computadora that clocks in at about 140-145 BPM which I'd count as fairly up-tempo.

One sec...lemme dig a little...
If you're willing to rock the Limewire, The Birds and The Bees by Breathe Carolina is really sexy, but fair warning, it easily merits the title "Screamotronica."
A really obvious one is HIM. I'm not sure they've written anything that ISN'T a love song and they've got plenty of faster stuff.
Heart Surgery Isn't That Bad by Jeffree Star is kind of a lusty love song, very synthy and with an infectious as hell beat...but good luck getting a DJ to play it in a strip club; I only managed it through trickery and taking advantage of lack of awareness.
Cemetery Drive by My Chemical Romance is sort of a longing/love lost song set to a standard rock/punk tempo but certainly not hardcore.
In The Shadows by The Rasmus is kind of like HIM Lite, lol. It's also totally evil fun to feed it to a DJ and watch them freak out trying to figure out what fried since it was recorded with a kind of old-school crackly effect.
Paul McCartney by Scissor Sisters is fucking fantastic, total party song, super-funky, and bears absolutely no resemblance to anything Paul McCartney has ever written.
Cupid's Victim by Tiger Army has a great rockabilly vibe if you can get away with it. It works well in combination with things like Social Distortion, and Johhny Cash.
Midnight Romance by A Kiss Could Be Deadly is a great secret love song, pure electro-rock.
I think that's a good list for now. Oh and, FYI...Jeffery Star blows live, he's 100% pure Protools.

Really the Vid looked so cool of Jeffery Star. hmmm..
Can i get some "secret love" kinda music? it's kind of for a role playing thing I want to do, I warned my husband to not dare come in here!!!![]()

I went down to Dallas to see him at the South By So What fest a little over a month ago and I was totally disappointed. I mean, he looked fucking incredible and I was lucky enough to get to see him explode during a signing and totally take this guy to the pavement, but from a purely musical standpoint, he wasn't very good at all. His keyboardist is pretty good and his drummer is fucking sick, but all the vocoder and danceparty-on-stage stuff in the world couldn't save him. I still adore him in recorded and spoken word forms though!

(This Is Not) A Love Song - PIL

cliche .... but ... "Crazy Bitch"
How about Dirty Little Secret? Kind of a love song, kind of not, I don't really know the words. LOL.
I'm not one for conventional anything... So this is a love song for the on-the-fence, on again - off again couples. Here it goes:
Fall Out Boy - Bang The Doldrums
I wrote a goodbye note in lipstick on your arm when you passed out.
I couldn’t bring myself to call, except to call it quits.
Best friends, ex-friends to the end.
Better of as lovers and not the other way around.
Racing through the city, windows down,
In the back of yellow-checkered cars.
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
This city says;
Come Hell or high water, when I’m feeling hot and wet.
I can’t commit to a thing, be it heart or hospital.
Best friends, ex-friends to the end.
Better of as lovers and not the other way around.
Racing through the city, windows down,
In the back of yellow-checkered cars.
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
The tombstones are waiting,
They were half engraved.
They knew it was over,
Just didn’t know the date.
And I cast a spell over the West to make you think of me,
The same way I think of you.
This is a love song in my own way,
Happily ever after, below the waist.
Best friends, ex-friends to the end.
Better of as lovers.
Racing through the city, windows down,
In the back of yellow-checkered cars.
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
You're all wrong, are we all wrong?
Best friends, ex-friends to the end.
Better of as lovers and not the other way around.
Ex-friends to the end, and better off as,
You're all wrong.
See, kind of a love song... but not really. Its so my styleI've been in this situation too many times.
