    Default extra poundage...

So, I'm fairly new on the London scene, so I don't know how things are here let alone over there in the U.S, but what do you consider to be overweight for a dancer? Reason I'm asking is I'm getting pretty paranoid as I'm positive some idiot threw a comment at me....grr....I'm about 120lbs - is this too big for a short gal?

I'm gona whip my big butt into gear and then refuse him a dance! But then I might loose customers..

    haha.

    O what to do!

If you feel uncomfortable at your weight then work out and eat right.

How tall are you? To me 5'7 and down is "short" or you could be 4'9'' for all we know...120 on those frames looks completely different.

Like Joplin said, it would depend on how "short" you are. But, 120 pounds is definitely NOT heavy. It all depends on how tall you are, how toned you are, how you carry it, etc , etc...
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

120 on 5'2-5'4 is perfectly healthy to very athletic. on 5'1 to 5'2 it might be pretty voluptuous, depending on how you carry it/bone structure. Under 5'0, might look a little heavy. But it really doesn't matter- it's not about weight, it's about confidence, and curves are fine as long as you play to your good points & work on being healthy. dancing will get you in shape if you're worried.
