    Default Leaving early

I've found that now that I've switched over to night I leave early at least once a week....WTF. When I worked days I could always hold out and make more money. But I find now I just want to go home. It could be that I'm working more days too though, and there seems to be SOO many night girls even when there's just a few custies. Also, I don't get to see my man as much anymore
Just thought I'd see if this had happened to anyone else..and what you did to remedy it. Stick it out, or go home when you feel like it, or jsut cut a day out per week? Usually girls aren't allowed to go home early, but since I just had sx and the fact that the managers like me (because i'm always on time and don't really complain) if I ask, I'm usually allowed. Bah, don't know what route I should take.

I've started to leave early too. I just get bored and like getting home and to bed at my normal bedtime, with is around 2am.

I've recently found out that coming in early isn't an option because I can't seem to make money that way so I need to find ways to convince myself to stay till the end as well.

Well I don't have a bf and haven't the whole time I've been dancing so far. Sometimes sacrifices are made to make money. Maybe make a date night and do something special when you do have time together.

Don't leave early. Think of it as this: when you leave early you are loosing money. Instead of going home with a nice chunk of cash you are just handing money over to the other girls when you leave early. Also, in that time you are at work do you hit your goal? If you do, you probably have the ability to make even more if you don't leave.

If you club has a swing shift you could try that instead.

I rarely leave early. I get to work at 8pm and am exhausted by 3am. Lots of girls leave at 3 but those few that stick around until 6am typically make an extra few hundred dollars...

I definately feel you....I have been working longer shifts lately cause it's been like pulling teeth to make any money around here. By about 1:30 I am pooped but I force myself to stick it out.

I have noticed alot of girls leaving earlier and have been only working 2-3 hour shifts and throwing in the towel.
The other night, every dancer except me and one other girl were checked out by about 12:30. SO it was just the two of us for the last hour. The DJ had to play like 3 or 4 break songs with and empty stage, then had us doing double song sets.
It was cool cause him and the management thanked us for sticking around, and they said they didn't give a fuck about having an empty stage. They wanted us to have a chance to get as many dances as possible during the break songs.
Not all clubs are that cool though.

well, do you think you would be making extra money if you stayed late? this is what finally made me stop leaving early, when I realized I was probably missing out on at least an extra 100+ dollars by missing the last hour.
I think also you should do an experiment, one week work one less shift but stay til the end for all of them, and see how you do moneywise, and if you make more by staying til the end. just experiment and see what works!

Does anybody else here have to pay to leave early? In the three clubs I've worked in (all in the same city), you have to pay $50 to leave early, no matter WHAT.

The first club I worked, I did my first set (no alcohol) and immediately ran off-stage to puke. After my second set, I puked. I hadn't even made my house fees yet, and I couldn't hustle the floor because I couldn't stop throwing up. Manager told me it didn't matter, that if I didn't have the $50, I wasn't permitted to leave.

The club I work at now, I got a phone call from my fiance when my mom had her heart attack. I had only been there about an hour and so I hadn't made my money. The manager told me to just go and I could pay it out to him later.

Either way, I have to PAY to be allowed to leave before the end of the shift. Do you guys just get to walk out?

Not at my peep place. I pay 60 upfront and can leave whenever I want.
At the smaller club Im not allowed to leave but I almost always want to stay to squeeze the rest of the money out.

I don't have to pay to leave. I pay $10 at the beginning of the shift. It's rare they let girls leave early though. If a girl walks out without permission she gets fired. However, the mgmt likes me and since I'm one of the few on time and never used to ask to go home (pre-sx) they let me. Part of it has had to do with the fact that my boobs have been really sore.
I'm going to take a night off next week and stay late the rest and see how that goes.
Also...looking at the sheets for the nights I've left early...only 8 more customers came in and 1 dance was sold the one night. The girls were all complaining the next night. I don't know about the other since that was Monday and I haven't been in since then.

At my last club the leaving early fee was $40. They were sticklers about it too. One time my sister fell down the stage stairs (she was sober) and sprained her ankle really bad. Her ankle swole up so bad her shoe wouldn't fit on her foot.
They tried to give her an aspirin out of the first aid kit and told her to tough it out!
She ended up leaving cause she obviously couldn't work, and not only did they charge her a fee (which was all the money she made up till that point) but gave her an attitude.

I tend to leave early a lot. A trick I started doing to stay longer:

Instead of leaving early, when you feel like it, go take a half hour break. Get comfy in the dressing room, put on a sweatshirt ( if it's frigid like my DR is) get a good snack and just take a break. Remove yourself mentally from the club for a half hour.

Then go hit the floor. You'll be refreshed enough to stay a few extra hours and after making extra money, put that aside. It's "free money" you wouldn't have made it normally, right? cause you were gunna leave. So make that extra money your savings account, or for fun, or even pay an extra bill. whatever you want. Just put aside that extra and at the end of the week you'll be proud of how staying over is paying off.

I just wanted to add to this thread on why you shouldnt leave early. I went to work at 8pm (I actually got there at 630). At 3am I had $200 and was practically asleep. I told myself before I go Im going to get $100. I ended up making $1200 between 3am and 630am... and the club stayed open just for me. If thats not a reason to not leave early I dont know what is...

Do you have a time that you HAVE to be there or can you come in whenever you want and just have to pay house fee? Do you have to stay for a certain amount of hours once you clock in?

At my club, I started coming in within the last 15min before the house fee went up and we have a 4hr minimum for how long we have to stay. For a few months, I would still leave an hour or so before closing but since I have stayed until closing (but still coming in at the last time to come in before the housefee is higher), it has always been worth it and I have made at least an extra hundred by sticking it out that extra hr/hr and a half.

Maybe if you go in later, you can spend more time with your guy, and then you can do your makeup at home, hit the floor hard when you get there, and try to stay on the floor as much as possible until close. I find working 4-6hrs max forces me to not laze about and to maximize my time spent talking to customers/being on the floor.

A LOT of dancers leave by 12 or 1 (we're open until 2), so there is automatically less competition, coupled with the fact that guys start to realize that the club will be closing soon and they they need to get dances or G.T.F.O (get the f*** out!)

FOUR hour minimum? No fair! We have to be there NO LATER THAN 9 PM (working until 2 AM), but we don't get credit for the shift unless it's at least 7 hours long. If we arrive ANY time after 5, we don't get to leave until 2. You can get there at 5:15 and you're still stuck there until 2.

I don't get how you girls can make money in such a short time? I make peanuts, and that's after a 9-hour shift!

Heres how my club fees work.

    Show up times vs. fees
    630- 8pm = $50
    8-9 = $60
    9-10 = $70
    10-11 = $80
    11-12 = $90
    After Midnight = $100

You stay until close which is 6am BUT when you get there you can put your name on the early out list which means you can leave when it slows down - usually around 3am. BUT I typically make more than 1/2 my money between 3-6. The guys are totally wasted and in party mode by then. I LOVE that we stay open late. In Sacramento where it closes at 2 all the guys would just be spending and its time to go. I hated it.

I typically show up between 8-10 depending and stay until close... When youre on the couches or in the lounge you get skipped from stage so thats my motivation to keep busy... that I dont want to be taken away from the floor for a 40 minute stage rotation.

I work 8-10 hour shifts. I would make shit on a 4 hour shift. No way....

    Morgan,

Oh, I'm not getting rich every night by any means, but I make at least what I used to make in a longer shift, if not MORE, because the short shift forces me make sure I'm on the floor as much as possible and refrain from sitting with non=spending customers.

When I would come in earlier, you almost HAD to sit and chit chat seemingly endlessly because a lot of the guys wouldnt spend right away or needed to ease into spending. Now, I can pretty much guarantee about when the money starts flowing: from about 11-1130 all the way until the final song of the night.

There may be dances sold here and there before then and decent money made on stage, but there is an unmistakeable windfall which ensues at this particular club from about 10 but definitely by midnight where the majority of the dancers will make the bulk of their money.

Let me see if I can explain the situation at my club: Here's an average night:

    5-6: 10 customers, 1-2 dancers (no stages)
    6-9: 70 customers, 6-8 dancers (Happy Hour: beer $1.25-$1.75)
    9-12: 50 customers, 9-12 dancers
    12-2: 30 customers, 6-8 dancers

Now of these roughly 160 customers we have per night, you'll find that only about 1 in 10 will even buy a single dance (16 customers x 1 single dance = 16 dances). About 1 in 20 will buy 2-3 dances (8 customers x 2.5 dances = 20 dances). Then you may hit the "gold mine": One of the 1 in 50 customers who will buy 4-5 dances (3 customers x 4.5 dances = 14.5 or 15 dances). So on a typical night, from 5 PM to 2 AM, ALL the dancers in the club will probably only sell about 46 dances.

The problem is that these 1 in 50 that can make your entire night tend to come in at all sorts of times, and you never know when they're going to be there. On an average night, I only get 1 or 2 long strings of dances ("long" in my club being a 5-song string), and some nights I don't even get that, but I never know WHO is going to be my string guy. He might be the guy who just got off work who's there at 5, and that may be the only string of dances I get all night. Or he may be the guy who walks in at 1:30 when I've done only one or two single dances all night.

    Morgan,

I wrote out a looong response for ya and my laptop battery died......Crikey! lol...I'll repost after I finish smarting over losing my work! Grrr.....

In a nutshell, finding which days work best may be the key, so that you can spend time with your boyfriend and recharge on your days off, and work longer shifts but fewer shifts during the week. Also, tracking which TYPES of customers tend to come in on which days of the week and how you tend to do overall might be a good way to predict earnings since WHO in particular will spend money on you isn't easy to gauge and the number of guys in the club isn't always a good indicator of greater earnings.

Sometimes there is a higher earning potential with fewer, but wealthier, guys (or at least guys actually planning on spending on dances) than a packed club, as we all know too well, right?

Overall, I'd still recommend staying until the bitter end over working longer hours, but then leaving before the final 1-2hrs of the club's hours. Think of how many drinks are sold in bars/restaurants/strip clubs when 'last call' is announced? Guys, and people in general, tend to come out of pocket when they know things are winding down and they need to act quickly. Then, when the other dancers have long given up, there you are, on the floor with a smile, ready to empty their wallets!

We have to be in by 6:30 and are USUALLY not allowed to leave early. I haven't even been into work since then A lot of stuff going on my life and my head right now.
We don't pay any different fee. No matter what, it's a 10 dollar house fee.
160 custies a night would be fantastic..we're lucky if we hit that on a weekend night.
That Monday I went home early, there were 5 more customers. It was a bad night by all...esp. since there were something like 15 girls. I guess it's just getting slower and slower. We'll see what tomorrow brings...I'm going in for the first time in over a week.

Ah man girl - you need to come to Reno and Ill show you a thing or two... Im agressive as hell but in a sexy way. Men tell me they love how I tell them whats going on.

Sat night I went up to a guy and told him were going to dance. He said no. Just that nope. I said fine then youre buying me a drink. He was like well, then Id have to go to the ATM machine. I said ok then. Grab his hand, pull him up and walk him to the ATM machine. When we get to the machine - he puts the card and code in - I push the buttons FAST and pull out $80 (not the $20 he planned) and grab it, grab his hand, walk to the bar. Order 2 shots. Grab him and walk him to the 2/$60 area... I told him hes getting dances and he was all like, uhm, i dont know, i guess, ok. So we go in - I told him the change from the drinks was my tip. Hes still like uhm, ok. I think he was in shock. And guess what. He loved it.. he loved it so much I told him hes getting more dances and walked him over to the ATM machine again...

I do this all the time... some guys dont like it but damn - lots do.

With the dancer being more sober than the customer, you can use their drunkenness to your advantage. I don't know that I'd be quite as ballsy as Audrey, but you can also sort of take their hand in yours and nod your head in the direction of the lap dance area and go, "Let's go, baby. It's last call...We better go have some fun before the lights come on/they start kicking all of you out!" and then start heading in the direction of the lap area, with their hand still in yours. If they hesitate or retract their hand, then look back, raise an eyebrow...and if they don't budge, just shrug and turn back around and keep walking around looking for the next guy to take in the back with you. Just keep it in your mind that you really need to make it to that lap dance room and let that urgency entice the drunk ones to come see what all the fuss is about! Hope that works for you!

Then, when you get back there, a lot of cooing, slow movements, and soft caresses to their neck and arms will aid in making them lose track of time. After you've had 1 dance from them, ask if they want to keep going and tell them there are only a few more songs left in the night anyway so that they don't want to budge...The guys that try to get really handsy? Grab their wrists and pin them against the lap couch or wall, smile and be seductive, continue your dance, but don't turn your back on them if their hands aren't being held so they can't sneak in a ninja perv...
