Default First night at the Dolphin1

    Hey out there,
So I decided to go try out the Dolphin 1. I've worked in all sorts of situations but I've never been good at the hustle clubs. I want to be though cuz i know the money is there. Anything I need to know about that club before I work there. Also I auditioned at Marys, whats the word on the street now days about it?

The main thing is that the couch dances can be tricky! Make sure you have a gown that is of a good length.

All of the girls, generally, are either very nice, very territorial, or a mix of the two. As for the guys, even if they are regulars of one woman or another, be nice to them, explain that you're new ... if they're spoken for, they are generally whipped enough to tell you.

Good luck! DI has lots of $ potential but is not immune to tough times.

There's an old guy, balding, with sparse white hair around his ears, blue eyes, and a very turtle-y looking face who always sits at the table next to the minor corrall. I forgot his name, but he will get dances, especially if he knows you're new. He's very tricky to dance for, tries to kiss your cheek and lick your nipples and touch your legs if you get too close. He'll be good training for a couch dance!! He's there a lot. There's also a regular named Timmy, he seems mentally retarded, but he's not. He's really creepy and loves new girls, he always tips at least a dollar on every stage set. He's cool. The girls are really nice, I really liked brooke, autumn, nadya, emily fox, pixie, and almost everyone. Stay away from the drunk girls... carmen, electra blue (sings on stage) gabrielle... etc. Dj dave is really nice, plays good music, but is VERY sarcastic, if he acts like an asshole towards you, it means he likes you. All the other DJ's are pretty chill too. If you don't "get" the couch dances, ask another girl to show you, it's the only way I learned.

The managers are cool as long as you don't get drunk and obnoxious, don't walk off stage, don't whine to go home early, etc. Girls in the VIP room do extras, I've seen it, you'll know who they are, just stay away from their customers because they might get mean.

I've never gotten to sit down and talk with the customers in OR, but I have in florida... idk.. just don't spend more than 2-3 songs talking with them unless they're tipping you for your time. Ask for dances from the stage. Almost no one but the minors do it, and you'll get dances that way, especially if you've already talked with them on the floor. When you get couch dances, pull away and do less contact during the middle-end of the song, then about 10 seconds before the song is over, get really close and say something in their ear like "you don't want me to stop now do you?" and keep going. If you can get one good guy back there, you can get at LEAST 3 dances out of him by saying and doing that.

oh yeah and if britney's there, check out her polework because she is AMAZING!

Hi, Ava! I don't know a ton about D1 but I have heard that the dancers there can be considerably harder to deal with than the ones at D2. I would assume the hustle is the same -- you can both ask for dances from the stage and also make your rounds at the tables. Remember to mention the VIP options because that's one of the great things there -- you can sell $40 dances instead of $20 dances in VIP (not sure what the house split is, I'm sure they'll tell you). Any of the information that applies to selling dances in Hustle Hut applies there.

Like Anomar said you will either need a gown that goes below your knees or a long skirt or pants to wear while doing the couch dances. Getting the hang of those was confusing to me, but since you are allowed to touch the customers you can generally sell quite a few more of these than the nude air dances.

Good luck! I would strongly suggest also picking up a few nights at the D2 to compare the two.

As far as Mary's, like I said yesterday it's pretty consistent. I actually had a really good morning shift yesterday. Expect to have to take some morning or mid shifts to get a night shift. The only dancers with more than one night a week there on a regular basis are the ones who are always in town, keep the same schedule every week, and have been there for three or more years (!). But it's not hard to get on the nights and I think worth it to keep Mary's in your regular rotation. It definitely isn't for everyone, though. If it is, you love it, if it's not, you leave. No biggie.

^ the vip dances are 40 each, house takes 10. So... 30 dollars a couch dance instead of 20, but the customers generally expect more back there...

It's not really that bad. I'm a pretty prude stripper and I could do them for awhile. You sit on the couch next to the guy, kneeling. You put a pillow between you and him (bellybutton down) and lean over him. You can't touch your boobs anywhere on him. His hands have to be up over the back of the couch. They made a new rule that your hair has to be tied back because a certain little blonde dancer was kissing the customers. ew. Some girls rub their cheeks against the guys faces, blow/lick their ears... personally i think that's gross, but that's how they make their money. I always just got as close as I could without touching, and then touched my body instead of touching his. You can also just sit and talk on the couches and get paid for it while sitting on their laps. If you're sitting talking with a customer and they're not paying you for your time, a good transition would be to say something along the lines of let's go get more comfortable, and lead them to the couch/vip area.

exactly how high are the slits on the side? When I first started i had one that had slits that came up mid-thigh and they never said anything about it. It just depends on if you're a clean dancer or not- once the bouncers know and trust you, you can wear pretty much whatever you can as long as it resembles a skirt that covers your ass and they won't care. If the slits are mid-thigh, it shouldn't be a problem, you can always pull it down a couple inches too.

other things you can use for couch dances are yoga pants and dancer pants (with the scrunchy butts) if you have any.

oh yeah.. that probably won't work... unless you're crafty with a needle and thread and you can sew them down to mid-thigh.

let us know how your night went when you get back! I'm curious, as I haven't worked there in about a month and a half, and when i left i was struggling to make 100. it was REALLY bad.

I'm hopefully going to be working Saturdays only there for awhile to get some support for the Miss Nude Oregon comp. I hope it doesn't suck. And I hope they will let me come back after a random one year hiatus.

One thing I always tell girls about the Dolphin clubs is to give it a little time. Work a few weeks before deciding. Its weird to get used to, but once you do you can make a lot of money IF you can hustle dances.

Fridays and saturdays were NEVEr good for me at either dolphin club ^

They don't stick to the schedule enough for it to be profitable for everyone. Sure they'll schedule 12 girls for fri/sat nights, but then another 10-15 show up randomly and you end up with 20-30 girls on a fri/sat, and only going on stage a couple times, which sucks when you're a minor. The custies get overwhelmed by all the girls, and the only way to make money is to have regulars on those nights.

Eh, I do just fine on weekends at D2. I worked at D1 as a minor, and yes, it can suck. But honestly when you are able to work the floor, its not bad. Another thing is, there may be 25 girls, but usually only 8-10 of them are hustling. I always see so many girls at both D1 and D2 sitting with some group of young guys drinking all night and not even trying to make money. I don't get it, but more money for me!
