    Default Body Image

I think that I am alot bigger than I am in reality.

When Ive said "Im about her size" people say that I must be joking.

There has been times when Ive caught my reflection and thought, "gosh that girl looks like me, only thinner and prettier" then realised it WAS me.

Surely stripping would make me realistic about my body, or do you think that since I spend so much time analysing my body I have a MORE distorted view of myself?

I don't know. Stripping has given me a lot more body confidence but I have heard many girls say it does the opposite for them. If u have an unrealistic view of your own body then it could worsen it coz your job is focused on the way u look.
My friend always says things about her body that I just don't see. She will say "am I the same size as that girl?" I dont know whether she just wants a compliment or she really does think she is that big.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Stupid stripper clothes are never made for girls with hips or asses. So trying to buy stripper clothes that are "one size fits all" are really made for a girl who is a size 4 or under. It makes my body feel "huge" because I dont fit in them.

Stripping did make me discover new things like proper nutriotion and that most guys are happy to see a naked girl. That they dont mind a butt dimple or two either.

Most of my critisim comes from me anyways. Im much less critical though since my surgery.Though I still have those good and bad days still.

I've become more body confident, but my self image is just as skew

Like, I can strip off in front of anyone now, run around in tiny shorts and not care, because I know that people will pay to see it.

However, I still go "gah! look at my tummy/thighs/butt/arms" almost every day...

I think stripping has made me feel more confident because of the magical powers that a naked woman can have over a helpless guy. However, I still find myself criticizing my body sometimes. You just kinda have to say to yourself, "I'm hot. There's absolutely no need to stress out about my body!"

I am the same way and stripping hasnt really hurt or helped my body image. I think stripping has the potential to do either though, just as many situations in life do.

If you believe all the compliments you get during a shift, you might feel better about yourself, and vice versa if you believe the bad stuff that gets said.

Personally I don't believe either, lol. But then, I ignore 90% of what customers say.

That being said, i am one of those weird people that "knows" in my head that I am very thin, but still sees a sort of fat chick in the mirror.

I think it also depends on whether you spend a lot of time comparing your body to the bodies of the other girls working.

I feel the exact same way, I think I'm bigger than I am. It's so weird, and I can't help it. People tell me how tiny I am and I look at them like they're crazy.. but I wear a size 1. It sucks, and I'm wondering if I should maybe seek help?

Oh Lordy. I'm almost 5'3" and about 125. Somedays I think I look hot, then some days some asshole customer will say that I have an "OK" body, then the next person will tell me that they like to watch me and they can tell that I have been working out. It drives me mad sometimes. Like, do I have a nice body? Do I not? Should I lose 10 lbs so I can be super tiny again? I'm already a size 3/4. Should I go down to a 2? Am I hot? I work out 4-5 days a week, and I eat healthy foods, but do I look OK? Am I hot? Am I chubby? Is it all in my head?? Is that person telling me the truth when they say that I have an "OK" body/that I look great/what are their motives for doing so???

I think I will feel much more comfortable when I get down to my pre-baby weight, which was 115. I try to do what makes me feel good and healthy, but I have a tough time believing my own perceptions and it really messes with my head.

    Obviously I have issues LOL!
