    Default new piercing...

Hi girls. I am thinking about getting a second naval piercing tomorrow. I already have the top part pierced and I want to get the bottom done too. My only concern is infection...I am worried that it could become infected easily because of our line of work...lets face it, we are walking around nude and comming in contact with more germs than people who are wearing a shirt all day. My question is, has anyone gotten a new naval piercing while they were in this business? Did u have any problems with it?

I had my second hole done a couple months ago, before I started working, and they are prone to irriation. They rub against jeans and shirts, so it takes a while to heal. there is a soulution called H2OCEAN, that is purified salt water in a spary bottle! order it online or at your tattoo shop, and spary away, take some q~tips with you to work, and you shouldnt have a problem with germs!

I got the bottom of my navel done back in January while I was working. Sea salt sprays are awesome. Did one every morning and night for the first 3 months or so, now as needed. At work some bacitracin applied around the two holes worked really good. My piercer recommended it to catch any irritants from the stage floor etc from getting into it. It also keeps the wound moist so any discharge won't crust up/scab then potentially get picked or rubbed off by the high activity level. I apply every time after I work up a sweat.

A simple sea salt/saline solution soak and you'll be fine inbetween cleanings. I wouldn't suggest using any products outside of what you are using for cleaning.

Keep it simple and the healing will be simple.

I think it'd depend on the contact level of the club you were working in. If the club has lap dances with contact where your stomach might come into contact with the customer (either because of how close you dance or because the guy lunges for you, etc), I'd say try to take a week off from dancing if you can. I know whenever I used to get new piercings it'd always seem like I was hitting it all the time.

All in all, do the sea salt soaks and you'll be fine.
