Because I deserve it. And It's going to last me and 2 kids as long as possible. It's an investment and an entire house full. I cannot get enough help to move when I do have out of the current apartment into another. I live far up in an old building with no elevator. So it's just easier to sell what I have (I've had it 5 plus years) and then buy new stuff which will be delivered and set up via roomstogo.com

    End of Justification.

This is kind of a thread jack, I know you're a new dancer, so I just wanted to share a tip with you that might help. Don't see it as asking for money- you aren't asking them for money, you are selling them something-a lap dance or vip. Selling someone something is completely different than just asking someone for money. Also, thinking of it as selling will help you focus more. Hope that's helpful.

I'm doing ok with my goals, I've been able to put aside 500 for my credit card so far and it's only the 12th. I also realized that my second summer tuition payment isn't due til august anyways-but I still want to put the money aside this month anyway.

UPDATE: I am so sad you guys I feel like I won't be able to accomplish this month's goals because I missed a week and a half's worth of work due to having the flu. I've only worked 2 days so far.

I will be working for the next 10 days starting with Wednesday so I suppose it is still possible for me to make $7,000 or more this month. I'm hoping I'll be able to do that. Wish me luck!

Can I skip May and go stright to June and July? The rest of May is going to be normal bills and alittle catch up. My club is also closing for nine days in May for renovations.

    > Work 51 days in June and July.
    > Put aside $300 per night for a total of $15300
    > $7000 for b.a.
    > $2300 in credit card debt
    > $3300 for three months of rent
    > $1200 for three months of car payments
    > $1500 for three months of daycare

    * I have to take three months off after surgery because it's reconstructive.

My SO can handle the rest of our expenses. I have to have this surgery done because I'm in constant pain since the last 'repair' surgery last July. I swear I'm going to go insane. I can't sleep at night, I'm incredibly self concious at work, it hurts when my four and six year old hug me. If I knew what I'd be going through now I don't think I would have opened this can of worms with the first surgery.

Two months, 51 nights. = Peace of mind. Out of pain. Healthy. Confident.

When I put money into the savings account to leave it there!

No shopping other than for groceries and necessities which means no more pineapple fans

Pack my husband a lunch everyday so he stops spending $6-8 a day at a fast food place. ($150/month)

Pre-set the coffeepot for my husband every night so he doesnt spend $5 a day at Starbucks. ($100/month)

My goal is to pay debt and save. All these things will help when theyre all added up!

Oh yea, and get some more totally fab stuff for my Summer Bukkit!
Its halfway through May and I totally screwed up with my goals... I did 2, fab Summer Bukkit and uh, the weekend I did work I made my goal. Yup. Im horrible with goals...

Totally understandable. Furniture is one of those things that you want to buy nice and new (and not cheap) and it will last forever. I almost bought a used bedroom set but my husband was like - no, get what you want, you will love it, treat it better and it will last forever.

    GRRRRRRR!

    My stupid back is busted!!!!!!!!!!
I was doing great this month but now this. I had to take yesterday off of work and now today it feels even worse. I'm so pissed off. I can't even stand up without pain. I'm so desperate to work this month I entertained the idea of going anyway and when I sell a dance to hobble back there and then just sort of lay on the couch and show them my pussy

I have to look up chiropractors on the internet now. I don't know what to do. I have a tight schedule this month - I have trips and family coming, so there are only so many days that i can work.

    Crap.

Welcome to my world, hun. I got sick on Tuesday and won't be going back to work until Saturday (hopefully). I feel like shit and have been nursing myself since. We'll get through.

I really need to make the best of these summer months coming before it starts to get cold again... I plan to be away for a few of those cold months, though.

I totally agree. I've learned over the years. All my stuff now is new except my bedroom set which is an antique and 90 years old ( hand made) and passed down through my family. But honestly I want to get rid of it because I don't know how much longer I can keep moving it around. IT's falling apart

~Continue saving a specific amount every week for quarterly taxes

I think that's it for me. We can do it ladies!!
Alright ladies-how did we do? I did not hit all my goals, due to a few setbacks. There was one week I didn't stick to my regular schedule and only worked two days. Boo. I saved for taxes, paid 1200 to credit card, and saved a 1000 dollars. I wasn't even able to make a dent on saving money for tuition though.

    Good luck girls!
Almost made my hourly goal... averaged out to $79.61/hr for May
Reducing spending on food by 25%... I did this! Yay!
Approach more customers for dances and not rely on regs....I'm still working on this one but I'm a little better then before.

That's it. Not too crazy. I'll save big, life changing goals for June.
Well, I'm trying to not be pissed - and just be proud of myself. I did kick ass in May. I worked 15 shifts, I hurt my back and missed 3, so didn't hit my shift goal. But if I would have made those, I would have hit my $10,000. So, that's pretty good. It sucks to have not, but it's okay, nothing I can do about that, and my body obviously wanted a rest. And my shift average was the highest it's ever been.

I didn't spend much money! No shopping trips or anything extravagent.

I took a nice trip to California and another one to the coast, so I got out of town, which I really needed. Hopefully there is more of that to come.

My hustle is getting a little quicker. I had paintgoddess' tip in my head last night, the one about not needing customers to like you, just need them to give you their money.
I'll continue to work on that.

All in all, I'm a little bummed, but I don't have a lot of experience with goals - I need to also write them somewhere else so during the day I remember to focus on them.

Okay, off to the June goals thread...

Does not compute. Sounds like you did awesome. Now time to kick ass in June. You have to take care of your body, don't feel bad for missing a few shifts.

Going into work earlier proved too much of a pain in the ass for me, so I started going back to work at my normal time and hitting the floor between 830-10ish. I like to get right to work, not sit around with my thumb up my ass just waiting for people to show up.

Also, The NBA Playoffs fucked my money up BIG time. I'm really pissed off about that, but my last shift absolutely ROCKED, and I am ready to kick ass in June.
